Interesting thought Nick. I have no idea why that would be the case, but it could be right.

wish that way back in the 70;s I would have done what I really wanted to back then. I was going to buy 10 or so acre's of land dig a well and plant my own food and by far enough away from any big town, just self support myself and live in peace. this country and the way people act is not for me. plus I would care less about who gets to be the President because I would have a nice big bomb shelter and lots of canned food with running water and far enough away where the fallout more than likely would not harm me. I am about 30 years to young

We had a place like you described. It was 40 acres, and was close enough to a lake for fresh fish. Plenty of woodland for hunting, and a lot of area for small farming, to create both personal usage farming, and a extra to cover the costs of utilities. The problem is, Wisconsin is hell bent on handing everything to liberal Milwaukee, Madison, Racine, and Kenosha, on one hand, and if you go conservative, handing to Koch Bros, and others like them. Not one shred of concern for the average person.
The result? Taxes ate us up, and we had really no choice but sell. Even a secluded cabin in the middle of nowhere is expensive. Leave utilities out of the picture. What happens when that tax bill comes due each year, and you're living off the land?
In the end, the average person just plain never wins. When I listen to all these "wonderful things" both Republicans and Democrats do for the people of Wisconsin, I want to gag. I have no idea why people support either party. They're entranced by the brand name, not the merit of the candidates.

I get what your saying, I have lived it also. The only way to turn this country around id to tear down the way the Congress and state level elected officials work. they are bought and paid for by the wealthy. As you know. Greed is killing this country and the people who do have the real power refuse to band together and stop it. Instead the top 5% have the power of the people in hand by "brainwashing us" and fighting over which dirty rotten paid off elected official to vote for. It has made me age by at least 10 years .

I think Trumps new strategy by telling Black and Hispanic voters If they do not like the way the president and government has been treating them, ,,to vote for him. cannot be any worse, take a chance!) I would like to just see the American voters come out and vote for the president in the large numbers they always should be, instead of an embarrassing 6 = % just look at the countries in the world like Italy,Isreal, France England,Germany they vote 80%(ave) of the voters, the USA has never to my knowledge even gotten to 70% in modern times, Once every 4 friggen years and this voting public cannot come out with deceit numbers. It makes a big difference if they would, The Middle class would then have a much fairer chance of putting people in office who will care more about the working majority and balance this country out better, instead the top richest 5% run this place. to shame to all who do not vote.

The problem is, with minority voters, they don't vote. Not in large enough numbers to make real waves. They can be effective on a national level for President, but don't really hit the polls strong enough on local levels to make a difference. They end up with the same tireless do-nothings representing them constantly.
Now I see Trump back-pedaling on every issue he's stood on over the course of the campaign. He even said he'd do the same thing in regards to immigration as Obama, except he'd do it "more vigorously." What the hell does that mean?
I'm going to take up serious drinking.

In all honesty, I don't see either party doing too much to help minorities. If the Republicans win it will augment the fact that white supremacists are alive, well, and pretty much calling the shots in this country. If that's the case, you'd best go out and buy guns to protect yourself because there will be civil war, if not WW III.

Trump is likely to set a record for worst performance among blacks and Latinos. he has a very long history of treating both like dirt. and they know con men like Trump when they see them, they've been conned for decades. thees a reason Trump is losing in new York by 30, the folks in NYC have known him since the 1970s. and they don't like him a whit.

Kapernick of the niners is a idiot, he now assures me that I was correct in my assessment of him in his very first year, he has a strong arm horrible ability with accuracy, no touch, and can only toss the ball when he can see his intended in front of him, and finally , his lack of brain matter assures that he can not think or focus quickly enough to be a contributing human to society. (he can run well,)he is a bad QB, YET he is being paid millions of dollars to play so poorly. AND he is being suppressed by the Government and people of American? RESPECT goes both ways and is not a given but an earned

I don't care if he stands for the National Anthem or not. This is his choice. By not doing so, he does his own people a disservice. It's too bad he doesn't understand that. What bothers me more than what he did is how the NFL itself handled the situation.
Maybe they should be stripped of their anti-trust exemption. I think they'd resolve this issue real fast if that was on the table.

he never served the public, make enlist, of make him take a test for a medic or fireman or policeman, then maybe he would realize you do not disrespect certain things that stand for the foundation and the majority of the people in the world. I also can agree ,he can stand or sit , I see hundreds of people in the stadiums of games who walk around, wear a hat, talk during the song, etc, I am a rather straight up type when it comes to certain feelings and beliefs. AN example, the pole vaulter who was running down the pit to make a vault heard the American Anthem and stopped. He is a military man who has his ducks in order I feel. He is someone I would not mind having fighting next to me, vs, Kapernick,
besides like I say, Kap is a lousy QB who has made millions because this COUNTRY suppressed him .

what rich person does treat people fairly? very, very few. they make more money by not paying/health-wages to there employees. We have a person where I live worth about 300 millions and he pays min wage OR LESS and he also will not pay his bills on time. he makes them wait, but if somebody does a job or service for him you got 10 days or less and he gets after you. rich people all over, have no clue or do they care about the welfare of the working majority who not only make there products but buy them . to bad we could not get together like the wealthy and conspire to get a fair wage and benefits for both sides.
