happy do you know how much money people get a month in food stamps? it starts at 10 bucks a month. thats it. thats not living high on the hogs, thats just about enough to get a couple burgers and fries at McDonalds once a month. what this country needs is a new New Deal, a revived Civilian Conservation Corp and Works Progress Administration to address our parks, infrastructure and other needs. lets say you pay the workers 15 an hour, thats 31000 a year. open to anybody, I argue you could get 10 million signed up in a year or 2. thats 300 billion going into the pockets of American workers, and generating about 100B in new Social Security payments, enough to ensure the long term survival of SS well into the latter half of the century. both of those programs I mentioned, put several million to work during the Depression and allowed people to keep a roof over their heads, food on their tables, and helped to lift the spirits of the people.both are remembered very fondly whenever i bring them up, time and time again, they say, those programs should be revived.

I lived in a house next to a couple who got 400 a month in food card from Pa. I agree with you that some get much less, it all depends on income, and number of people and children in a house hold.I have watched them just Friday while I was shopping for my homestead a person who had a card and they bought ciggs, steak and potato chips, things I feel should not be permitted when your receiving money from a tax payer and you yourself is not holding down a job, any type job. stop using the S.S money to pay other things.that would help as well. I agree with what you say, I think I wrote that they need to have a job, any type job, but many would rather sit and collect than work for a lousey 7 bucks an hour as they say .

This article will show you how the right thinks. They stripped food programs from it's past involvement with subsidies for farms. Subsidies for farms end up 80% in the hands of large corporate farms, not the little guy. Yet, despite being welfare recipients, these little farmers jump on a band wagon to knock food out of programs for the poor. I honestly don't understand why people don't realize just how corrupt the system is, and how little the Republican Party does for anyone who isn't in the 1%, or less. I think it's sad at how people blindly follow along like good little people letting them destroy our nation. theweek.com/articles/461227/farm-subsidies-welfare-program-agribusiness

are we ready for a world war? Putin is amping it up, the middle east is going strong, and the radicals will soon force an all out war there I think, North Korea may send the missile that starts one, and the Cinese may just try to push themselves into a war. what do you think about this world right now? they are also doing a decent job at dividing the people of the USA.

Choosing sides. China will not align with North Korea. They would remain neutral, or go against them. I believe they're more inclined to fight them than be their ally. The entire middle east would be split into factions for and against the West. Strangely enough, there would be more middle eastern countries with the West than against us. I don't think anyone in the middle east figures it's wise to go against the US and NATO to be honest.
Korea's attack would be against S. Korea and Japan. They'd be pretty much obliterated in 24 hours. The Chinese would rush troops in immediately to "preserve government integrity," and actually be taking control, insuring they stayed Communist.
In the middle east, it would be more like civil war in so many nations. There are essentially about a dozen different Muslim faith lines, including, Shia, Kurds, and Sunnis. They can't get along with each other, and the others are as deeply diverse as well. There would be civil war in almost all Muslim influenced nations for final control. In the end, because of the internal war, they would not wage war against each other, opting to isolated their own personal gains. The only strays in this whole thing would be the Asian areas of Muslim influence, which would become even more physically active against the West, and would eventually end up being under attack from the West.
As for the US, there would be a "stand-off" between us and the Russians. The Russians won't do much more than try to peddle their influence against the US, and gain alliances with others who are anti-US. That seems to be their entire focus in government. They draw their power through confrontation, not mutual respect.
As far as Europe is concerned, they'd be with us. You don't look at the US as being the enemy unless you have lost all your marbles. In Asia, there would be a lot of nations on pins and needles worrying that they might be attacked and controlled by China. In South America, we'd see governments choosing either the US or Russians as their ally. Most would choose Russia, including Mexico, if Donald Trump became President. With Clinton in, we'd probably see the nations split. Trump's world influence is a negative factor for us.
Above all, smaller nations fear nuclear weapons, and realize that there are some nations out there who aren't afraid to use them. Amongst them the Israelis, who could possibly hit Iran with a first strike if they felt the threat was bad enough. Hopefully that wouldn't happen, but there is that chance it would happen.
To be honest, that's nearly as big of a concern for all of us as the North Korean threat with that little creep who runs things.

Once some of these little countries get the distance on there missile and can carry the Nuke" they will think that makes them even to a sense with the US. one lousy call by a nut case in that country will cause a response with a missile and then many other countries will be nervous and then could make a snow ball effect that could put this Earth into a Nuke war that will be history making

looks like Mike Pence is going to be Trump's running mate.

Pence is perfect. He's a moron, whose whole way of doing business in Indiana is pandering to the religious right and hate groups. I wasn't surprised that he was on the short list. He's a guy who will stand back and let Trump do what Trump does, and not even be able to figure out what it all means. It's interesting that Trump has gone through all the top Republicans and not one of them would even give him the time of day. Now he's reached out to guys like Pence, Gingrich (a real piece of garbage), and Christy in NJ. Christie, who is now on the hot seat with the charges against Jamie Fox. Fox was a Christie appointee, and I'd be willing to bet a shiny nickel he's going to roll over on Christie before it's through. Who knows? The fallout could actually reach Trump. No doubt, this is Trump's kind of people! www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2016/07/nj_power_broker_jamie_fox_indicted_for_alleged_rol.html

Is Trump got enough money to survive?

I don't think Trump has any problem to be honest. He'll get money from the Republicans right after the convention. They'll rally around him because that's what Republicans do now. They don't care how bad the candidate is, they just support him because he's their "nominee." I've seen that happen even in local elections. There's come a point where partisan politics is way more important than whether or not the person belongs in office. I've seen it happen repeatedly in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Texas, on a first-hand basis.
Imagine if you will - someone who has already been found guilty of malfeasance in office, out on bail awaiting sentencing, charged again with a crime of taking bribes. Now, imagine this person actually winning an election against an honest man by a landslide in a local election, even though the guy who's been convicted and awaiting trial on other charges should never be allowed to hold office. I've seen it happen.
The most recent event was down in Texas. The guy has done just about everything except for something honest, and he won a local election by a landslide, because he knows how to buy votes through his making it a point to be there for everyone's birthday, anniversary, at the hospital when someone is ill, and just plain a "concerned" person. He's stolen so much from the people, yet they keep reelecting him to office. They're going to keep on reelecting him even when he's in prison, and he plans on attending mandatory meetings using Skype. Does his party reject him? Nope! They keep supporting him because he wins elections, and they're always there, to insure he gets everything he needs, when he needs it. We expect his next trial, and his sentencing date for the previous conviction to be put off for an extended period of time, or he may even get County Jail time, spent with house arrest, where he gets to attend almost everything because he can call it "job related."
I guess that pretty much tells us what's happening. People like getting screwed by the system. That means Trump has a good chance of winning, if he taps the right miscreant on the shoulder to be the #2 man.

I once read recently about voting. People who earn more than 150,000 a year 95% turn out to vote, people who earn less than 100.000 48% show up to vote. and when a national election comes up and shows 68% registered voters vote. that is the overall, since 95% are the well off they go with the person who will benefit them before putting the nation ahead of them. local elections are far worse, when they get 38% to vote the vast majority of them are the well off the others just do not show up to vote, if they did show up in large numbers, the elected would be working for the people for the most part, the way it was meant to be, but money has taken OVER. the wealthy or well off vote the poor or ave joe stays home. thus why we get nowhere with the elected people today.

Interesting percentages. If their figures are accurate, it tells a story as to why there's no push-back against programs designed strictly for those who have too much money already.
I wonder where we'll be in a few years. I wonder what effect Trump is going to have on restructuring political parties, and the way we view candidates.

me? underground in a urn. I feel sad for the young who are so brainwashed that they think being selfish and doing anything to earn money regardless of who they hurt is the right way to go.I was brought up to help everyone who needs it. My feelings is that when I was a kid back in the 50's 99% of the people had a good moral standing, )thus no locked doors parents sitting on porch steps with neighbors while kids played in the street or yards stuff like that, they knew every home owner for blocks around) today many do not know there next door neighbor and must lock up everything, install security cameras, because they must have dogs to protect , more than to have as a friendly pet. etc. today I feel 60% of the people are good solid people while it now has 40 % that will rob you use you hurt you, kill you for money, drugs or just for the heck of it. A working wage is when a person (good person) must hold down two min wage 40 hour jobs just to pay the bills. while in just a couple of years you will be ready about the Trillion Aires (not billionaires) who are becoming multi trillion Aires while people will not have solid medical coverage.

so sad that in America today the public cannot have chosen two better possible presidents of this country. It tells me just how far the people of America have fallen. Brainwashed by TV, and the Cell phone, ambushed for years by the big time CEO's and Federal Government We have two people running for the Biggest seat in this country, and in my mind,,, both should be in jail. Greed and selfishness have taken over in this country. It did not happen over night of course, but it has taken place as planned slow but sure. the people of this country and world need to wake up before they destroy it.
