As the season approaches and to try and mitigate the hundreds of different Favre threads which are likely to arise, may I suggest all on the field matters/stats/comments etc are kept to this one thread. Its got to be worth a try guys and girls

I like it! On espn.com, under the fantasy football section, there is a bold prediction article that says favres consecutive start streak will end. Dont know if i buy that.

I don't see it happening! He won't miss a game unless he wants to miss a game. When he retires, FOR REAL THIS TIME, he will have the record for a LONG time afterward.

I agree that he will miss a game. The AFC is a different animal!! It is understandable that we would think that he can just will himself on the field, but I think a big time injury is on the horizon! I don't want to see him get hurt, but I agree with the predicition. At the end of the year the same media that is drooling all over him in New York will be crying that he should have stayed retitred!!
I like the one thread idea!

So in case people haven't noticed the Favre board has been placed into this forum. 4forfavre and I decided that the board was cooling down, and it was time to just start a Favre thread. We took this one because it already has some conversation going and the name wasn't that bad either . So we hope you guys will use this thread throughout the season to continue talking about Favre when need be.

sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3567605Favre voted one of Jets' offensive captains The ballots are in, and the veteran quarterback was voted one of the New York Jets' offensive captains despite being with the team for less than a month.
"I'm honored," Favre said Wednesday before the Jets' first practice at their new home in Florham Park, N.J. "I felt a little uncomfortable to be voted. I feel like I need to earn it."
"I don't want it to be based on past performances or longevity, whatever," Favre said. "All those things are important, but what's important is what I do here and how I carry myself as a teammate, what type of leader I am. But you have to vote a captain, as every team does, early in the year and I'm honored to represent this team."Anyone shocked on this? I'm not. We all know the kind of teammate Favre was, and how much he brings to a team.

How about PIP? But it would have to be Packers for me if I was forced to watch only one.... But I will follow Brett and hope he does well .... But rather it be the Packers with the ring than Brett at the end of the season.... And no.. I don't want him hurt either....
