My view on marriage is not based on religion, but based on the perpetuation of the species. The only purpose of marriage is to pro-create and provide a stable home for the off-spring. Since gay people can't pro-create, I really can't support gay marraige at this time. Maybe little liberal scientist can manipulate the human species and screw with mother nature down the road, but until that time, I can't support gay marriage based on my belief. In an overpopluated world with millions of orphans, mabye the idea that people are not actively procreating is a good thing?

Gays are looking for special rights than typical Americans. Many American's who aren't gay, can't get married to get breaks on insurance, taxes, etc. So why should gays have that right? Cause they have sex together? If so, then it is about sexual orientation. How many military service men & women marry one another because of the greater monetary benefits each receives because of their union? Is that prostitution since one big motivator is the money?

I have no problem with gay marriage, but I do have a problem with gay people who marry to receive health care coverage for AIDS or who get AIDS after being married and want their health care to cover such AIDS. I know that my position may be insensitive, but tis very simple for people to take the necessary and responsible precautions for having SAFE SEX. Yes, Republicans in bathroom stalls can come out, use protection and marry without being denied health care coverage. Is your position the same when it comes to the utilization of abortion as a form of birth control? Rape/Incest/Danger to the mother accepted as justifiable reasons for abortion of course. Women of rape/incest/danger to the mother ARE justifiable reasons for abortions and such abortions should be included as part of health care coverage. Willing participants who refuse to use appropriate protection who become pregnant, who get AIDS/STD's should be denied coverage IF those who smoke, have pre-existing age related diseases, suffer from alcohol related illnesses...are denied coverage. The bottom line, I strongly OPPOSE health care gurus and their critique of who qualifies for health care coverage because there are too many variables involved which empowers such gurus to deny coverage based on their personal beliefs which may be prejudicial.

Wow this got out of hand. Abortion and health-care has nothing to do with gay marriage.
