Do we really have to open up a Brett Favre section again? Man this is getting really irritating! I hope like heck none of the Packer fans attending games this year wear his jersey!! We need to beat the crap out of Favre and the Vikings!! WE need to beat them twice!!!
Our division schedule just keeps getting more interesting. The Bears rivalry has a new villian in Cutler. Favre is a Viking. The Lions....well they don't have Matt Millen anymore so who knows. We really have to take care of business in the division!!! SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP!!!!!!

I think the man has a mental disorder similar to Muenschausen (sp?)...craves attention. My husband said he has lost all respect for the man.
It's just OLD nuts!

I am actually glad he has signed.
It will make the NFC North the division to follow this year as well provides an interesting tapestry to a game that not only thrives on the hard hits, but the storytelling as well.
Can you imagine the first game between the Vikes and the Packers. It's gonna be wild, fun and crazy.
Talk about a "most watched " game.
Fun! Fun! Fun!

Yup, Favre's signing make things more interesting.
I wonder how the betting will go --
broken arm broken leg torn spine out for the season.
For moi, the Packers vs. Vikings game will be worth 20+ shots of JD.

It is really humorous. Childress gets up two weeks ago and says the door is closed and then supposedly calls Favre a half dozen more times.
Good for Brett. Good for the Vikes. Good for whomever. My only real take on this is that it's a very high-risk move that could end up in the Super Bowl or an 8-8 season. Childress has really staked everything on Favre and if the team doesn't perform, look for a rancorous locker room that could implode.
I do think this is going to make Harvin someone to watch, however. To me, he's the kind of guy who will really benefit from having someone like Brett at the controls. I think with pretty much everyone else, it's a push, but Harvin could become someone very special very quickly.
I don't wish injury, but I am going to laugh my butt off if Brett breaks a hand or tears up a knee.

Think about it like this. The Vikings just told their QBs that they aren't good enough to compete in the NFL. It also means that one of them has to be cut.
I wonder if Favre will even make the cut to be honest. And if he does, what message is being sent to the three guys they've got?
It's actually kind of funny!

Here's what I posted in the "other" Favre thread...I'll just post it here too. Some of you are doing exactly what Viking management and fans want you to do...you're all upset about Favre signing with the Vikes. You're acting like you just got dumped by your girlfriend/wife for someone else. MOVE ON!!!! We have a great QB who leads an awesome offense and we have a new exciting defense. It's time for us to get excited about what the PACKERS can do, not what some other team might do. Rally around our team..don't take the bait the Vikes threw at you and bite on it. After all, are we not Packer fans? Peace out

Don't think they really care about the feelings of T Jack, Sage and Booty,,,, They got their meal ticket that will sell tickets / gak and make them the "Team du Jour"

Believe me they couldn't care less what you or I say or think.... The fans? Well being on the Wisconsin - Minnesota border it has been surprising how many lifelong Viking fans are upset that the Vikings signed Brett favre.... Let us vent if that's ok....

I think Minnesota is a mostly complete team. I think they were a mostly complete last year missing just one vital element and that element is Leadership.
The Vikes have needed a general on the field to lead the cast of talented players for the last 2 years.
I for one am excited to see Brett compete.
I understand the angst of having him to play for the Vikings. It would be like Elway playing for the Raiders or KC, but thankfully Elway went out on top and I think that is what Brett wants.
Should that really be held against him?
