just read a good article, if the house speaker,Boehner, gets his package the people who earn $1,000,000 dollars will get a $50,000 dollar tax cut. The midlle class workimng people must pay $1,000 more in taxes. Hummm. ,,,,sounds fair.

Dont' be a whiner happypacker, your messiah dumped the 2% payroll tax cut raising taxes on the middle income by a minimum of $1,300 a year.
TW, that story wasn't posted as an "offset principle."
It was posted as, "Perhaps the Chinese should STFU and tend to their own knife wielding, child slashing problems before they call out the US on its gun violence" principle.

It was intended as a support of gun ownership by saying even people with knives can do as much damage. The other, reference to the Chinese, is just the mask it used to get a gun lobby point across.

I am not whineing, just putting up some facts. there are no HONEST MORAL elected officals remaing in this country. they are all about filling there pocket and being able to keep the working public the quitest, then they get relected. |

I hate to say this, but the story from the Chinese press pretty much tells the story the way it is.
If we don't want that kind of press, we shouldn't have these types of events.
It's also true that the Dems are being cost dearly at the polls due to their wish to limit guns.

The worst part is the semi-automatic handguns are big time killers too. A heavy choice by street punks.

My guess is street punks don't get them legally...so changing the way people obtain guns legally will have little to no effect on street punks access. Gotta live in reality not make believe where everyone follows the rules.

You're right. Street punks will still get them. The difference maker would be that if they are totally illegal for possession, penalties for having them could be more severe.
That said, we move ahead one space, and are faced with more prison time, at tax payer expense. We should start that will making sure that people incarcerated do not get any type of outside payments, like SS checks, disability, or anything else. All that should be automatically taken by the government to help pay for the cost of their being imprisoned.
We also need to find a way to turn minimum security prisons into a system that teaches prisoners, and at the same time gains revenue from the actions. It doesn't matter if it's truck gardening, making license plates, or any other suitable, yet safe, activity.
The #1 priority is that they come out of prison with something they could turn into honest work, not just a little smarter street wise, so there's less chance they'll get caught the second time around.

With this mentality, our grandfathers would be felons and would be spending time in one of TW's prisons making license plates gaining a "skill" that would benefit future generations.  How 'bout, pulling those pants down the rest of the way and tan the hides of those who do not have respect for the law, elders, or guns. The reason these kids are screwed up is because liberals, through local Social Services agencies have usurped the authority of parents, right down to teaching kids if you don't agree with their parents, you don't have to do what they say, not to mention kids know how to report to SS to drum up bogus charges because they're pissed because they got grounded from the Sea Shanty Under the Sea dance. |

If Parents bring there children up with a good moral standing, the vast MAJORITY will be good kids and adults, you are an extremist with the so called logic. The kids calling the SS to drum up Bogus charges know they are doing wrong, and are not good people to begin with. they are the few, the ones that will always be there I still have a 15 year old, never a problem "A" student and knows right from wrong, because the Parent taught them well.

Just like guns, i think that semi auto matic s have no comment sense reason for the American citizen to own one, why? do they need to run off 30 rounds as fast as they pull the trigger to kill the deer? or what logical reason really , do they need that type of gun.
I own a gun and i feel i have the right to , The 18" defensive shot gun will take care of any intruders in my home, and the hand gun will discourage any who wish to rob this old man.
If you get rid of the semi's at least the bad cannot kill as many people so quickly,, unless they make a bomb or drive a bus with kids in it over a cliff.all more difficult to do compared to the use of a semi auto matic weapon. That is just part of my opinion.
as far as the jails becoming over crowed, send them all in the military, give them guns and put them right up in the front lines of battle.
