Often, I have said that if a a black person like Collin Powell or Condi Rice were elected President, Obama would not be considered the first black president by the black community. I now rest my case because its obvious it is being talked about in the black community unless you don't consider Morgan Freeman; black. now.msn.com/entertainment/0706-morgan-freeman-president.aspx

I don't care about color. Why do right wingers seem so obsessed about it? How many time has your poliitically conjoined Twin, Amoeba, praised the left for electing a black man to the Presidency. How open minded and forward thinking liberals are for doing so proving that they were not racist. How many time have you yourself pointed to the right and called them racist and biggots. Obviouly color matters to you both, when its convenient of course. I am merley pointing out as I have repeatedly stated; and now supported by Morgan Freeman (a true black man) that the black community will not embrace President Obama as the first black President when a candidate like Colin Powel or Condi Rice are elected to the Presidency. I am also pointing this out because I am sick and tired of the left patting themselves on the back for something they never did....which is typical liberal behavior, of course. Obama was black enough for the Democrats to accept and elect because as Harry Reid stated, "He was atypically bathed and talked pretty darn good for a black man." I serioulsy can't think of anything more racist than the statement, espeically by the Democratic Leader of the Senate.

You forget about Herman Cain whom sooooooooo many Republicans truly loved and supported, even after he was proven to have an IQ of a grapefruit and to have screwed practically anything with at least two legs. How he would have made Republicans sooooo happy, especially in the Men's bathroom stalls. Also, IF Obama is truly not black..why all of the freakin hate and racism from the GOP towards obama?

Herman Cain! The right-wing paraded out a man who didn't have a chance of getting the nomination, and they knew it. He wasn't there because he was the best man for the job. He was there because he wasn't a threat to the white guys.
If someone like Colin Powell would have stepped forward, it could have been devastating for the Republicans, because he would have had a real chance of winning the primaries, and would have been a threat.
In all honesty, if Colin Powell would have run for President, against Bush in his second term bid, Powell might have won, even if he was an independent.

Sadly, America will need to wait a tad longer for its first black President.

I see. You have classes of black based on whether they are right or left wing candidates.

Its simple sociology; to blacks, Obama is white, to whites, Obama is black.
Obama is more like a stepping stone. a toe in the water, a test run by liberals to see if a blacks can cut it as President.
Because of Obama's poor performance as President, he will be cause for qualified black candidates to be dismissed as viable just as George Bush will be the last person from Texas ever elected to the Presidency.

Sorry! According to southern beliefs, which incidentally is where most Republicans hang their hat, anyone who has even a drop of black blood in them is black.

Well, according the the government, I believe being as little as 1/32 Indian is enough. In the worst cases, 1/16 is considered Indian.
What does that tell you?
