He will be marrying the love of his life, Siobann from St. Catherine's in Ontario, Canada. I guess that I have to give up my South Parks, anti-Canadian and Canadian Mountie jokes. Aye or is it eh? At least my son will be living where it is nice and cold. Since SOMBODY trashed Curley's Pub and drank all of the booze and ate all of the food, I guess that I am gonna have to find another place to enjoy a few dozen shots of JD.

Ah... he's marrying a Canuck, like I am. At least half of me is Canuck! ;D Exactly where is she from in Quebec province? I say that, since her name is purely French.... and I'm probably right! Will they jump over a pole, like they do in Cajun country, or kill a bear with their bare hands to tie the knot?

"Will they jump over a pole, like they do in Cajun country, or kill a bear with their bare hands to tie the knot?" Siobann's father is retired Canadian Navy. I guess that I showed my American side when I asked, Canada has a military? ;D In any case, her family has lived in practically all parts of Canada, but they prefer the East of Canada. I am not certain how she got her name. Currently, my son will live with his future wife and her parents in St. Catherine, Ontario, Canada..which is very close to Niagara Falls, NY which is close to where my son works. My son drives 15 minutes from Canada to his employer in the US and then back to Canada. Both benefit from the much less expensive gas and food in the US. Since my son is into computers and has Top Secret Clearance, after working 5+ years with Raytheon, he is waiting for a $80,000+ jobs in the Northern Virginia area and will return to live with moi..IF he is able to land one of these jobs. His Uncle is the number two ranked person at a HUGE defense contractor and will notify my son as soon as a job becomes available. My son's mother, is the IT coordinator at a HUGE Naval facility in Bethesda, MD, and has $45, 000 jobs available, but told our son to be patient because, with his Top Secret Clearance, he qualifies for a $80,000 job with her office. Having the ENTIRE house to myself is very, very different. I am able to work out much more intensely and often leave home at 6:30 AM and arrive home at 8:30 PM, after doing water aerobics and elliptical workouts. In the very near future, I will start hitting the bench and the 600 pounds of weights that I have at home. My son and his future wife make a very cute couple, are in love and are truly inseperable. I believe that they may, in fact, be true soul mates. When the time comes, I am not sure how I will react to be called Gramps..forever fossilized. I will be of that age that I have to hope that something important does not fall off.

Mikey got married, is constantly teasing me about being a Grandpa and he is still waiting for a high paying IT job. He is aware that Congress is downsizing defense contractors and he is willing to take a $45,000/year job. Currently, he is working part-time for a IT employer in the Buffalo area of NY. Both he and his wife have part-time jobs. His wife went to college studying to be a pastry chef and my son has a unique talent for using spices and cooking Filipino dishes. IF Mikey lands a job in Northern VA, he and his wife will live with me, save some money and I will give him $10,000 towards a home. Having equity and writing off taxes should help he and his wife to start out in the right direction. Mikey and I are very, very close that sometimes his wife mistakes me for one of his friends because of how we constantly are kidding around and joking.
