This morning it's back to the real world. Our family reunion is over. It was a huge success. My wife and I had a fantastic time.
My family tree was traced back to the middle of the 1500s, which I thought was downright amazing. And guess what? Not one horse thief in the group, that had to be hung! At least we don't know of any.... ;D
As soon as I get back to my computer, I'll post a few pictures. Please, don't get excited if you see a few famous people in the pictures, but they are part of my family.

Any moonshiners in your family tree? I am glad that you had a good time. Family get togethers are truly awesome.

Actually, there was a moonshiner. My Grandfather, who started the resort in Northwestern Wisconsin, did make moonshine during prohibition. The guy that delivered most of it for him was the sheriff! ;D Here's pic #1. The people in the picture with me are my relatives, all quite famous, and I will not give you their names. If you want to try to identify them, be my guest! LOL Of course, I'm in the pic with them....

The guy in the center does look familiar but I can't identify him and the guy on the right I have no clue. The guy on the left just looks like a troublemaker to me

I've been told that I'm a "troublemaker!" You probably do recognize him. I figured you might recognize the other one too. Maybe not today, in the future!

The guy in the middle does look familiar. The guy on the left CAN NOT be TW, cause he is not flying the Packer colors. PC is good with faces. Where the heck is he, when you need him?

"Actually, there was a moonshiner. My Grandfather, who started the resort in Northwestern Wisconsin, did make moonshine during prohibition. The guy that delivered most of it for him was the sheriff!" For some reason, I knew that there was a moonshiner in your family. We all have a 'wild side.' White Lightning tastes much better then anti-freeze. A Quick Recipe for Making Moonshine The basic ingredients: corn meal sugar water yeast malt The basic process: Mix all ingredients together in a large container. After mixing, move the mixture, called "mash," into a still and leave it to ferment. How quickly this process occurs depends on the warmth of the mash. Heat the mash to the point of vaporization at 173 degrees. The mash will produce a clear liquid, often the color of dark beer. You must watch this process with careful attention. Trap vapor using a tube or coil. The vapor will be transferred into a second, empty container. The resulting condensation is the moonshine. It is then ready to drink or sell. Keep mash in container. It is now called "slop." Add more sugar, water, malt, and corn meal and repeat the process. Repeat the process up to eight times before replacing the mash.

By the way... I was giving the "thumbs up" to the guy driving a Leinenkugel's truck past where the picture was taken. Those guys are kind of "heroes" in Wisconsin.
