I think we can find some common ground here when it comes to Congress. Let me see what you guys think...
Can we all agree that Congress is mostly made up of a bunch of dishonest at best, criminal at worst politicians that look to only serve their own interests and fear their party leadership more than their constituants?

I object to the use of the term, "mostly."

Yes, I agree with that statement.
Now can we agree on a way to get rid of them all?

Yes, I agree with that statement. Now can we agree on a way to get rid of them all? I wish!! PC, I would invite you to list more than a dozen reps in congress that are not at the very least mis-leading with what they say compared to the way they vote! Perhaps it is a bit hyberbole, but not much! My main point then is this...if we can agree...why should there be any passed legislation from them until we do see a major turn over. Arguing Republican and Democrat is pointless...they are all pretty much the same in that they do wha tis best for them not their constituants. With so much coruption it is impossible to have real open and honest debate, therefore arguing about policy is in many ways pointless!!

The problem I see with this is that when the Republicans were running the show, disagreeing with the Republican Congressmen/women, or the Bush Administration, made you a traitor to your country.
Now, the same people who yelled traitor are saying they're all crooks.
What happened? An epiphany?

It is the same games. The Epiphany started back during the last term of Bush...many that believed he was a conservative feel like they were betrayed. He was no conservative!

You're right. Bush talked like a conservative, but his strings were being pulled by the Cheney group, which is part of neocon central.
It's too bad the Republicans allowed it to go so far. They lost credibility with the middle of the road voters, and even the Christian libertarians.

One has to consider just how far worse this country could be in if Democrats had not taken the reigns in 2006.
It's better to have a Democrat in office as I believe there policies are based on facutal data. Republicans base their decisions on meta-physical beliefs.
We need to live and govern in the here and now instead of trying to instill and exact values from some far way off Disney land.

What evidence do you have that Democrats have made things better? What evidence do you have that it would be worse under Republicans...and are you seriously going to say that Democrats govern in a way that is pure in intention and they always make the right call on everything??? Seriously???

I feel that if Democrats hadn't taken office, the "Decider" would have had troops in Iran and Venezuela before the end of his term. The Dems may not have done anything of substance when they took office in 2006, but their control of Congress usurped the free wheeling ways of King George. And yes, I do believe Democrats take a more academic approach to their policies and legislation versus Republicans who wish to convey to the sheep that they are enlightened by the "Holy Spirit" as demonstrated below.

I just think that both sides aren't that much differnet right now and to think otherwise is not really looking at the whole situtation!
