This is what makes me mad. There wasn't a plan to really get gas guzzlers off the road. This was meant as quick cash for the automakers, and it didn't do any good when it comes to where they stand today. In the process, people did not buy efficient cars. It was another government fiasco, and I hold Obama responsible for letting this ignorance happen. He better get his head out of his posterior, and surround himself with people who know how to help people, or he's not going to see a second term in office, and I know I wouldn't be voting for him if something doesn't change drastically. Can you imagine, getting rid of a clunker pick-up truck and getting a new one with government money, and only gaining 1 to 3 MPG. This one really makes me mad! Are these people that stupid, or are they lining the pockets of those who supported their election? It don't make sense! Just another rip-off! Unfortunately, I stated in the beginning this was going to happen because they never thought it through. news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091104/ap_on_bi_ge/us_cash_for_clunkers

The so called bankruptcy of GM was a legal farce!! The bond holders got it up the butt and the Union was brought to the front of the line right behind the government. It is a complete travisty what they have done with GM...then they take more of our money to prop up sales for 1 quarter and in the process really send more of our money to foreign manufactures anyway! Despite your attempts to label me TW I am not a Bush loving right winger. Bush was an idiot in so many ways. In my opinion he is not what the Republicans are at their core....or maybe they are and that means that I am not one. I am somewhere between a Conservative and a Libertarian....As such, this president and most of what Bush did has angered me to no end! This C4C program is just another in a long list of government ideas that are stupid and are designed to benefit a few!!!!

I don't think you're a right-wing zealot. I also don't accuse anyone on the right of being a Borg any more than they label me as being a bleeding heart liberal abortion supporter.
I have no trouble with honest politicians. The problem is, there aren't any in the game any longer.
