This is a good anecdote about the evils of a liberal, paternalistic government. Soon the type of treatment that minorities have endured by liberals will soon be applied to ALL Americans. Talk about a mis-guided attempt towards equality if the liberal ideas currently in Congress prevail. Today's liberalism reminds me of what my college professor said about communism. "Under communism, everyone is equal...equally poor." www.americanthinker.com/2009/10/will_the_real_racist_please_st.htmlI used to have a job that felt like Divine Grace. Since I was raised secular, it was as close to a religious experience as I had ever had. I was fresh out of graduate school in my late 20s, working with black foster families and relatives in dicey areas of Oakland. Not a day went by that I didn't cry -- and not just because of the sorrowful plight of the kids.

Not that bright of a statement. The entitlement programs on the boards are an accumulation of programs that were fostered by both sides of the aisle.
If you're looking for the real problem, it's the Supreme Court, which has struck down any attempt made by people on both sides of the aisle, to force people to work, if they are on public aid.
The Supreme Court has adamantly stood by the stand that you can't do that, thereby creating massive welfare programs that are nothing more than a steady income instead of a help up.
But then, why is it that the author seems to believe that these programs are "black programs?" Apparently he hasn't seen the wide spread need by people of all races in a lot of areas.
I think the author showed his ignorance to be honest.

When I see hispanics grouping together on a street corner, they are looking for work.
When you see a group of Asians grouping together on a street corner, they are either tourist or downloading the latest app to their blackberry.
When you see a group of Indians grouping together on a street corner, you know it's the third of the month. The car that carried all 17 is just parked around the corner.
When you see a group of whites grouping together on a street corner, it's to buy a hooker.
When you see a group of blacks grouping together on a street corner...lock your doors and drive faster.
