I've read several articles lately that forecast holiday spending to be way down again this year. Even lower than last year.
I know that my family has agreed to cut way back and to be honest, I am 100% in favor of that. It's just not the year to have any wasteful spending.
What are your plans this holiday season? Cutting back or staying with tradition?

I haven't been into the holidays since my teen years. So no change in plans other than making a trip to Missouri and the beginning of December.

My wife and I are going through major income changes that will last forever, so we're cutting expenses right to the bone.

Our spending doesn't much impact the US economy, but FWIW, we also won't be spending much at all this Christmas.

Cutting back or staying with tradition? Pretty Ironic that this isn't the year for wasteful spending yet Washington has shown us new ways they are doing just that! I mean it has been this way for years, but this a new level of waste we have seen in the past 12 months!!!
