This is about as relevant to politics as Alec Baldwin considering a run for political office.

But it is political. You've said that Limbaugh speaks for many people on the right. That's a political statement. So, he put it in political terms so the righties could understand what he was saying, and bob their heads in agreement.

Be fair TW. You know I can't stand Limbaugh.

That's true - recently. There was a time that you kept saying how he had the pulse of the Republican Party.
Of course he still does according to the head bobbers.

I have to agree with May on the issue. His report on Little does show the way the league says one thing, does another.
As far as Limbaugh being a partial owner of the Rams, I don't honestly see a problem with it. It wouldn't be a political vehicle for him to use, and he does have rights like everyone else, even if his comments are over the top.

I don't think the NFL wants such a divisive person in thier "club." I think that if someone from the far left, the polar opposite of this clown, were to apply, the same reaction would occur.

You're probably right on that. But over the years, the Rooneys and others have been political. Rooney has always been a vocal Democrat.
Maybe the idea is to insure that doesn't happen in the future. If the sword cuts both ways, I'd agree to it.

If the sword cuts both ways, I'd agree to it. That's about all we can say about this one. Although I'm still confused why this whole thing is an accepted form of discrimination.

Because as a rich white man Limbaugh is not a minority. That's what people never get about issues of race, and class. There will always be a bigger leaning towards the minority because they are in fact the minority. If it didn't come into the equation we wouldn't have such a word with such a meaning.
Also, the players do still make the league. If this situation didn't end the way it did I believe more and more would speak up and it would be a bigger mess. Personally I don't care if he had a share in the team, but I can also see why some of the players wouldn't want to go there. That is not good for the NFL as a business. In the end, it's about whats best for the NFL.
