Understandable. This was a French military ship. There is an oxymoron in that last sentence somewhere.  |

I am surprised the French didn't surrender there ship and offer the Pirates wine.

As I understand it, The French "military" ship was invaded by Somali pirates. The US had to come in and remove the invasion force from the "military"(har har har)ship.
Afterwards, the French told us to "screw off" tastefully while taking credit for thwarting the pirate attack...or as my hairlipped cousin would say, "Birate attack."
