The starters get a A.
The defense gets a A+. Raji looked great out there push people back. Bishop had another great night just a animal. Hawk looked good tonight and the rest of the defense played great flying to the ball all in all great game for the defense. The offense gets a A Rodgers looked great and so did Grant the offensive line keeps getting better. Everyone on offense looked good and Driver got his leap in for the night.

they looked very solid. it was 24-0bat halftime, and we forced a lot of turnovers. which bodes well for the regular season

Honestly, when the game is live I am too big of a fan to assess the game. So the best assessment I can give is that I had a whole lot of fun watching the first stringers play. The Driver snag on his back shoulder while running step for step with the DB got a 10 on my loudness scale. This was fun to watch. Now, I'll be a bit more in tune to watching things more critically during the rebroadcast of the game.

I thought the defense showed how good they were. While the main players on defense were in, they dominated Buffalo.
On offense, they looked good too, especially their running game.
I wish I could have watched the game closer, but we were visiting with friends at the same time, and I'm afraid those friends aren't as enthused about football as I am.
But, it was preseason, and the fact that they played so well on both sides of the ball, before pulling the guys who will really get playing time this year - showed vast improvement over last year at this same time.
I'm beginning to think they could be a better team than a lot of people think. But I'm not going to go on a "homer" mission of projecting them as the next Super Bowl champ, or even playoff contender, until they show this same ability during the regular season.

I have been beating the drum for a long time that we have had the players for awhile... Just horrible coaching. Even with the system change you are seeing these guys natural athletic ability, and now they have a direction from a proven coordinator who knows defense. This could be a really exciting year for Packers defense. I am not going to say we will be top 5 or anything, but we have athletic players and a great secondary. Could be a lot of turn overs. Either way I am excited. as for the offense... Aaron and the boys looked great. I dont know how the line will be 100% but they are giving good pass protection it looks like. Good game all around!

The 1st string defense and offense blew me away.
Individuals who caught my eye: Raji-Watch out he is so versatile and has a good eye. Bishop-all over the place. Finley- Wow, he is a hidden treasure. Havner(sp?)- This guy seemed to be playing every down defense and offense. The cameras just were drawn to him.
On the bubble: Brohm:- a dear in the headlights. Lumpkin-a favorite from last year but just seems lost this year. Swain(?)- You don't tackle the receiver when he's about to catch a ball on special teams.

The game will be shown shortly on Direct TV.
From what I was able to see by following play-by-play reports on CBSSPORTSLINE , having already watched the first game and from the ability for the defense to force turnovers...this Packers defense MAY BE the best defense that the Packers have had since REGGIE played for the Pack.
I know that it is early, tis only preseason and IF the Packers can stay injury free, the Packers are demonstrating the potential for truly having a very memorable and dominating defense.
Besides, FINALLY the Packers are smacking around opposing qb's, playing very physical football and are taking an incredible burden off of Rodgers shoulders. Remember, the Pack lost 7 games last year by 4 points or less and the defense was primarily responsible for losing the majority of the games because they could not stop anybody when it counted.

One of the more promising plays was the nice screen to Grant in the second quarter for a first down. That's not something we've seen in Packerland for a while. Cliffy got out there, too. Love it.

Sporting talking heads mentioned Grant's burst of energy at the end of his runs was back. It was missing last year. Also talked about Grant's 2000 plus yards since joining the Packers. Only 2 other RB have more in the same time period: A. Peterson and I forgot the other could it be Portis?
