I have a hunch that the talent level on the Packers roster is going to mean Kole Heckendorf, a native Wisconsinite, will be cut. He's from Mosinee.
Playing in a small school is going to cost him, but he may be one of the better talents in camp. In a way, he reminds me of Schroeder, when he first caught on with the Packers, but Schroeder didn't face as stiff of competition for that lower level incoming spot.
But, Heckendorf could become a good receiver somewhere in the league. It's too bad it probably won't be in Green Bay. It would have been a nice "feel good story" for local kids, as well as his friends and family.
I don't think they'll be able to stash him away on the practice squad. He's probably going to be grabbed by someone. If they don't grab him, they've missed the boat.

The Packers arguably have the best or top 2 or 3 receving corps in the league. No place for Heckendorf on this roster in my opinion. Driver, Jennings, Jones, Nelson and Martin. Martin may be able to be unseated but the other 4 are solid

I totally agree. In total, this is one of the best receiving corps the Packers have had in years, one of the best of all-time, if they all play up to their potential.

If Jones/Jennings stay healthy, and Jordy as a 4th wideout plays even as good as last year....this will be an amazing team of wideouts. They have so much potential it's scary. Our offense is gonna be determined by how good our line is though I'm afraid.

I agree with you Talaren and they didn't do much to improve it which is the scary part.

I think Kole Heckendorf is a Practice Squad type of reciever, and knowing his mom since she was my highschool gym teacher in Stratford she would probaly yell at me and make me run laps like in high school, next year is going to be his year.

It would be interesting to see if he stuck around, on the practice squad. He might show them what he's got, after getting some experience.

Yup, PS seems like a good bet. TT seems to keep a WR or two on the PS every season. Heckendorf seems like a good candidate. It's one of the toughest positions for a new guy to come in and help out at if there are injuries so it makes sense to keep a guy around that you can pull onto the roster in a pinch if the injury bug hits.
Seems like Jake Allen is also having a nice camp. It'll be tough for either guy to unseat one of the 5 incumbents. Both are PS candidates though so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them stick. I think Swain and Harris are gone.
