So all these teams are coming out saying they have no interest in Mike Vick. I have not heard whether the Pack has said anything on the matter, but adding him to the roster does have some benefits.
Obviously the back-up QB situation is a concern. Flynn could go on the practice squad- don't think he would have a problem clearing waivers. While it will take a while for any Qb to get caught up to speed, I think Vick would be an obvious upgrade over either of the guys we have.
Wildcat - this is the new gimmick and while teams will start being able to defend it, Vick would be a great guy to have in that situation.
RB- while not his first choice, Vick could line up in the double wishbone and run for us.
Lots of negatives that come with Vick, but GB would be a place for Vick to stay out of trouble and Charles would be a good role model for him. I don't think TED would ever pull the trigger on this deal, but I think it makes sense for the team.

I think that an atmosphere like Green Bay might actually help Michael Vick, I just hope he gets his second chance in the nfl.

I don't want to see him in a Packer uniform to be honest.
I never thought he was a good QB, let alone someone we need in Green Bay for any reason.
All we need is "Ron Mexico" trying to spread STDs in the area.
If anyone believes he's "reformed," they're sadly mistaken. He just feels bad that he got caught.

I FULLY agree with TW. Besides, HE IS A HOKIE. Between Michael and Marcus Vick, the Vick family is doing their best to keep the prisons populated. Marcus Vick suspended. On 7 July 2004 In May, Virginia Tech football star Marcus Vick was convicted and sentenced to jail time and a fine, after he lured a pair of 14- and 15-year-old girls to his apartment, got them drunk, and compelled them to strip. (Mutual acquaintances assure me that this was hardly an isolated incident. He just got caught on that occasion.) Despite Vick’s conviction, Virginia Tech did nothing. Their football program is such a cash cow, thanks to their new ACC membership, that Vick got a walk, the same as the rest of the football team gets for the rest of their college education. (Campus is thick with teachers who exempt students from tests, papers, deadlines, etc.) Yesterday, Vick was “suspended indefinitely” from the team. What changed? It would have to be something way more serious than providing alcohol and (allegedly) routinely engaging in statutory rape. Possession of marijuana and speeding. He was suspended from the team solely for possession and speeding. That these are separate punishments stemming from separate incidents are made clear by the timing — Vick’s pair of charges were made known to Virginia Tech just after the school released a statement announcing that Vick’s punishment for the underage drinking and stripping would be a three-game suspension. Note that Vick has not been kicked off of the team, nor has he been kicked out of the school — he has been “suspended indefinitely.” Details regarding Virginia Tech’s logic cannot be known — the coach and the director of athletics are refusing to comment. waldo.jaquith.org/blog/2004/07/marcus-vick-suspended/

The only thing I like about Vick is that he was athletic and is the only QB to have an unbelieveable arm and can still run a 4.2 forty. Other than that he is schmuck who isn't a west coast type of QB, what Dan Reeves had for him in Vicks first couple of seasons is the type of offense the Packers would have to become to fit him, which is very very simple with Vick being the main playmaker while everybody else just act as blockers, the West coast offense is to complex for Vick to even handle he can't slow a slant route to save his life.

Back When Vick beat us at Lambeau, I thought he was on to bigger things.
I was wrong, I think that was his best professional game.
The Vikings should sign Vick. IMO they have as good a shot with Vick as they do with Brett.

Mike Vick the man has no place on our team, but Mike Vick the QB in all likelyhood will play in the NFL again. I still think his athletic ability fits our weaknesses (?) well, but agree that an every Sunday starting QB is not where his strengths lie.
Might be a moot point for a little bit longer. A couple rumors this morning have no meetings with the commish this week and have him not making the best use of his free time.

I wonder how good he will be in a system that wasn't designed specifically for him, to cover his weaknesses.
Granted, he's athletic, but I don't think he's really smart enough to realize what it takes to be a consistent competitor.

I don't think anyone should be passing judgment on Mike Vick the man. He did a stupid, and extremely horrible thing, but it's in the past. He has paid and will continue to pay. The ball is in his court and I think people should be rooting for him to succeed instead of being angry and bitter.
What a lot don't seem to understand is that Vick didn't invent the horrible "sport" of Dog fighting. This is a much bigger problem than the NFL, and NBA want you to know about. I am glad he had to pay the price he did; I just hope he is willing to truly be reformed and maybe do something to show how Dog fighting is not something to look at as cool. I believe he truly deserves another shot and if he could spread the word on the horrible "sport" of dog fighting I think a lot of good can come of this.
I am not trying to tell anyone on here how to feel. I know there are a lot of dog lovers that can't just say "oh you went to jail, welcome back". That is understandable. I just think maybe it will help if you look at what could come of this in the grand scheme of things. If he can do something to help put an end to the dog fighting crap it is worth giving him a shot. Well, IMO it is.
That being said... I don't think he is a good QB. A great athlete, yes, or at least was when he got in trouble. I believe he should just go to a different league for a year and then try to come back.

He's still facing more potential charges on a state level. That may make a difference.
I'm not as quick to kiss and make up as some people are. I think he's nothing but trouble as a person, forget his ability.

I can never forget when in his own stadium, after a horrible performance by him and the team, the fans were booing and Vick flips them the bird. Not classy!! And then there's the dog abuse, torture and killing. I am an animal lover and will not forget his part in that. Don't want him on my team.

He also had several incidents while in college swept under the rug to keep him on the football team. He's a piece of work.

No way.
He'd fit right in on America's (Felony) Team.
