Cutler has been attending Cubs games. The poor guy was asked for his autograph. He's refused to sign them.
I realize that it can be a pain, but the guy isn't a poor down-trodden person who isn't well compensated for his work. The guy's six year contract was for nearly $48 million. That's about $8 mill per year.
Of course, why should he sign autographs? Fans don't mean anything! They don't pay his way... or do they?
Rest assured, he better play like an all-star in Chicago, or he's going to be dog meat in the press, and from the stands, by the end of the preseason. He's not doing his best to "make friends" amongst the fans.
The only guy I remember who got away with not signing autographs was Walter Peyton. But he was a franchise of his own, and didn't sign, because he didn't think he was anything special.
On the other hand, Cutler thinks he can walk on water in July.

I don't know how others viewed him coming to chicago but I love it! I really do. I feel this is what the north needs. We get teased about as much as the Big 10 for being soft. The black and blue soft? Yes, that is how a lot of fans in other divisions view us, but can you blame them with the way divisions in the NFC such as the East and South have battled it out lately?
I think the Cutler vs. Rodgers battles will be great, and since I am comfortable saying we have the better of the two I am greatly looking forward to the match up.

Agree with you Meanie.
Competition level in the North got a lot better with Cutler coming over, that IMO can only be a positive for us.
I'd like to see the North become like the NFC East. A battle, the winner comes out battle tested ready for a long PO run.

I agree. Winning the division is important but walks in the park don't prepare you for playoff runs. I am looking forward to every team getting better, and yes, I do believe the Lions will too .

I'd rather finish behind a team capable of winning the Super Bowl than to have the Division winner being a patsy who will be one and done.
Competition makes a team better.
