I know we touched on this in another thread, but who out there watches NCIS? What are your thoughts on the characters in the show

I love NCIS. The characters are pretty heavily stereotyped but in a fun, over the top way. Abbey the brilliant goth lab geek,
Ducky the wry medical examiner (my wife sees him and remembers the schoolgirl crush she had on him as Ilya Kuriakan)
and Ziva David the hot Mossad killing machine who mangles colloquial English... what's not to like?
Denozo is straight from central casting, probably the least interesting character to me. Gibbs is always Gibbs, he's definitely one of the consistent pieces.
The NCIS directors are always overdrawn dramatic tools...one of the areas where the screenwriting breaks down for me.

I like the show. It does go amuck once in a while, but I'm trying to think of what show that doesn't.
I like the majority of the characters. Tony is the one I like least, if I was forced to choose.
I understand that Harmon had contemplated leaving the show in the past, because of money, and he might be contemplating it now, so it goes to the reason they had the spin-off show with different characters.

Fringe has got me.
Last 2 episodes were fantastic. S1 cliff hanger was a woah moment.
I thought the Terminator SCC finale was good too. Bummed, because the show probably isn't coming back.
And tonight LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NCIS is in my top 2 shows. We've been watching baseball whenever the Brewers are playing. I'll catch up this summer or on the internet.
I like Abby and Ducky the best.

i like Abby, I also wonder who is going to get killed off in the final? Denozo? Ziva? how come nobody mentioned "mama boy" computor guy that denozo always picks on? what does he call him? preby...? i forgot,, somebody help me!!!

Proby is short for "probationary." In law enforcement, it's always probationary.
I think they kill off Ducky's assistant, if anyone.
Just a guess there, but the only other one I wouldn't care if they bump off would be Tony. I don't particularly like his role... but then again, we're not supposed to, are we?

who watched last weeks NCIS? did you like the way it ended? I was thinking about last week's show when I watched the two part rerun of the episodes where Ari shot Kate and Ziva killed Ari last night. I understood why Ziva stayed behind in Israel. I think she's always been the most complex character, she's always had mixed loyalties and she felt that she'd been betrayed by everyone: her father, Denozo, even Gibbs. The ending was kind of abrupt. One minute she's on a ship assembling her gear with a Mossad assault team and then she's a prisoner in that North African terrorist camp. Hope they don't kill her off. |

NCIS is great, kinda like a cop show with very little gun play.
Ziva and Toni going after each other and some times McGee getting in the middle of everything with out trying.

The TV show is alright, the actual NCIS people though is a different story. After Jericho came on thats when I started not watching NCIS anymore, now I have barely enough time to watch the old lost episodes from this past season, its still a good show but its a good thing its all over next season. The weird thing is that I find myself watching alot of House I own all four seasons waiting for season five and for some odd reason I wake up in the middle of the night to pump and dump and start thinking in medical terminology, I am not even in the medical profession, I work in fricking combat systems.
