It completely outlines why It's not a great movie and what they did wrong with it along with what they did right. I trust his reviews and I often find myself agreeing with him.

I have to agree with you and the review. I think the cast over all was well selected with the exception of Kirk as well as how Kirk was presented. I cracked up when he chastised "Fast and Furious" as being an awesome movie..LOL
Urban who played McCoy I thought was awesome. I actually felt like I was watching Deforst Kelly on screen. Urban did a good job of presenting the essence of the original McCoy.
In my opinion, Uhura and Kirk need to be re-tooled for the next movie.
Also, their science and science babble needs to be better and get along with getting rid of the "Star Wars" effect of getting rid of the ridiculous aliens that were presented.
There needs to be more seductive scenes with Kirk nailing some babes.
There needs to be some drinking scenes with Scotty getting hammered and caring about liquor more then enticing babes.
