The tulips and crocus have popped through the ground. Saw my first robin and cardinal yesterday. This evening I'll be taking my godson for his first T-ball practice.
Love this short time of year.

I've been sick for two days with a spring cold. Can't breath, can't sleep, can't do anything except sneeze, blow my nose, and slop down soup. Just below my nose, it feels like sandpaper, from blowing so much, even though the tissue I use has aloe vera!

I'm sure Amoeba has something that will cure your cold.
Great evening. T-ball practice was great. First thing the coach says to the kids, "we're going to work on fundamentals." The 4 year olds just picked the grass and their noses.
The weather was great. Came home and talked to neighbors who I haven't talked to since last fall. Tomorrow I hope to rake the lawn.

TW, sorry you are not feeling well. Yes, I do have one OUTSTANDING JD cure and the great thing about my remedy, you get to have lots of fun while you are not feeling well. The only problem, you may not remember how you ended up neked in the woods or in a shopping cart at a local mall. In honor of Spring and with the passing of Lent, my advice to everybody -- DRINK or DRINK HEAVILY!!! Besides, doing so puts to rest the cobwebs of Winter and empowers your hormones to do what comes naturally.

Love spring...love it. I had already applied my first application of fertilizer to the lawn awhile ago and am now going to spot seed the lawn and apply the next application by Friday. I fertilized all the shrubs and will try and get the trees fertilized as well by end of week. I have cut the grass and it is looking green and happy. The perennials are poking through and it looks to be a happy time in my yard

Hey BB what fertilizer do you use? I've had it done but because of the dog I want to do it myself so I can leave the area where Harley plays alone. I use to use Fleet/Farm's product; 4 applications.

Bap, I go to Reinders and buy their fertilizer. They are so well known around the country for their turf knowledge that I tell them what I have going on and they can tell me what I need. They have a couple places....one in Elm Grove and one by the Waukesha airport on Hwy J. The one by the airport is more consumer friendly where Elm Grove is more business orientated. Both can take care of you. I have my sister converted to their fertilizer and seed and she has a great lawn as well. Elliott's Ace Hardware carries their products I think as well in their stores

Beautiful day! I plan on thatching the front yard and getting some fertilizer spread. The back is still soggy. Will have to wait for that great Friday prediction to come through.

Well I visited the local Reinders and loaded up on fertilizer and seed. Gotta get it done before Saturday as we are supposed to get rain on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday so it will get a good start. They are saying low 80's for Friday and possibly 80 on Saturday. Then the rain and a cool down to upper 50's to low 60's. Perfect grass growing temps. Grass loves to grow in cooler temps
