Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on cleaning those nasty yellow headlights? Walmart has some deal that's about $40 to clean the lens and make them like new. I've been looking online and found a lot of people using Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish.
Anyone have some ideas?

Never worked with yellowing head lights. If the head light has a foggy look Meguiars made something called Plast-X that works pretty good. I found it, looks like it should do the trick. www.meguiars.com/estore/product_list.cfmLook for it under clear plastic care. What kind of car you got tmw?

I've got an '04 Hyundia Elantra. Great car, brought it brand new and it's great on gas. I think the issue is the soap or aging to the lens themself so hopefully it will work.

Oh OK. I won't hate on you for having a Hyundai, It's a car. I don't have a car, but I have everything else. What kind of mileage do you get? My dad has an 04 XB and loves it.
I think the yellow look is from contaminates on the light. What kind of soap are you using? Dish soap? Do you keep your car clean, or is the only wash it gets is when it rains? Are the lights pitted(rough) or are they smooth?

It went through automatic carwashes and that soap is no good.
I get about 25-30mpg hwy I think.
The car is mostly kept in the garage but when I'm at school or work it's in the sun.
I Googled and people were recommending Mother's Mug & Aluminum Polish so I bought a little can for about $4. I did a little test spot and it came right up, I did the whole lens and after I was done the headlight was so bright it was hurting my eyes.
Walmart charges $40 for this service, DIY for $4 and a little elbow grease.

At Wal-Mart you are paying the guy to do the elbow grease they more then likely use the same stuff you did but you have to pay for the person to do it.
