Hey everyone! I apologise (Canadian/English spelling, turn off your spell check) first off, that I haven't been in touch in so long. I believe I have a good reason, though. Since my last post (July, maybe even June) I've been working 7 days 70+ plus hrs/week, so I haven't had the leisure time to check in with you guys (which doesn't mean I haven't been thinking about you all...how weird/sentimental am I?). Now, to business. I had meant to make an announcement, that Mrs OBB was "with child", but my work schedule defied me. Now, however, I have the great pleasure to announce the arrival of MY DAUGHTER, Seren Frances, after 24 hrs (plus) of labour and the threat of C-section. Seren (Welsh for "Star") and Mrs OBB are both fine after the natural (read non-C-section; she had an epidural. Does that make it non-natural?) birth. Right now, it is about a quarter to three, Wednesday morning. The birth was at 9:58, Tuesday night. I, the (incredibly irresponsible and freakishly cool) OBB, am a father. I have to tell you all (at least the old friends who'll read this) I feel about ten feet tall. Very cliche, I know, but when you hear from people that "you have to experience it to understand", you are not able, by definition, to really understand. Now, I do. Wow. Sincerely, the extremely elated, and ten-foot-tall OBB

Awesome news man! Send my regards to the Mrs. and your new daughter! you';'ll be in my prayers, my parents firmly believe that it was prayer which helped me survive after I was born, though your girl will have all the benefits of modern medicine..

Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl. Welcome to fatherhood. "after 24 hrs (plus) of labour" Expect a bottle of JD in the mail to the misses.

Thank you very much, everyone! I unfortunately have had to spend the last few weeks at Sick Kids. Seren was having seizures and it seems that she suffered a lack of oxygen sometime either before, during, or after, and has severe brain damage. Things are looking much better now, she is breathing on her own, and eating on her own from a bottle. We will not know the extent of the effects for some time, but for now she is doing better than expected, and we LOVE HER TO PIECES. I'm no good with pics, but she is absolutely beautiful. We can worry about the other bridges when we come to them. Cheers to you all! OBB

OBB, I haven't been on here in forever, but I'm SO EXCITED to hear the news of your new little girl. I remember the days when you were so excited because you had just gotten engaged to the (now) Mrs. and here you are with a new little bundle of joy in your life.
Congratulations from the bottom of my heart. I teared up reading your post. I'm so happy for you two. I'm sorry to hear that little Seren is having difficulties, but that will only make all of you stronger in the long run, right?!
You are all in my thoughts and prayers and CONGRATS again Daddy-o!
Love and best wishes from me to your family!!
