I used to listen to Rock stations on the radio in the 70's - 80's
Later I used to listen to what I guess you could call Pop....
In the late 80's I started to listen to Country... And some of my mellower Rock CD's (Tapes)
I was OK with this until the last year or so.... Country had gotten a bit more Rockin..... But now I look at my pre-sets on my radio and what do I see....
1: Sports Radio 2: Oldies / Easy Listening 3: Wisconsin Public Radio / Classical 4: Country 5: Lite Rock....
At work I can get to come in the WPR, Classic Rock and Country along with Classical.... I listen to WPR the most...
Is this and a lowering of your "Buddies" signs of getting older?
Sigh......

I prefer believing that we don't get older, we get wiser.

I wouldn't say you are getting older. Taste evolve just like we do through time. Not to mention all the stuff on the radio that is modern is pure crap anyways. If I have to listen to the radio I listen to 80's and oldies. I am 24.

If I have to listen to the radio I listen to 80's and oldies. I am 24. Here stands the little smiley that is shaking his head, GM. I think you expand your music as you get older. Entering my 40's I still enjoy Little River Band and Aerosmith, but also like Fall Out Boy and Disturbed. I am sometimes embarrassed by the music I listened to in the 80's. Remember Aha?

If you have to ask if your getting old your old. My dad is the same way Badge. He has sat radio and he mostly listens to "Old time radio programs from the 50's". Yes that is a station. That station could put me into a deep sleep, coma possibly. My music taste has gotten broader, I'm listening to a lot of music my dad used to. I hated his music growing up.
Meanie your only 24 HAHA! Still a baby. I agree with you that there isn't anything good/new on radio nowadays. Music today is for those intrigued by the drum(HAHA!!!!!! inside joke). I'm just a little older, but I feel like I've been around forever and ever.
I'm ready when you are!

Disturbed interesting. I saw them a few years back. This "mature" chick was trying to pick me up, was that you? I doubt you'd remember you looked lit. I was too, had about 40 bucks of booze in me. Yet, it was still a no go.

I honestly DO NOT believe that males age as rapidly as females. Besides the cobwebs, women seem to add another toe to the grave every 2-3 years after they turn 40. What makes this so alarming is that women already have 5 toes in the grave when they turn 40. Tis truly sad the limits that these 40+ year old fossils frequently display. Heck, I was able to do more and had more energy two days after my second knee surgery then many of these 40+ year old fossils.

Remember Aha? obviously everyone is going to have their own opinions, and I respect that, but a lot of the stuff today is manufactured corporate crap that is water downed and repeated. I remember seeing Fall out boy at Jannus with Less than jake before they got big. I have never been into them but I know plenty that are. I build on my music tastes all the time. I have gone from primarily listening to a lot of punk rock/third wave ska and pop punk stuff to listening to a lot of independent music. IMO, and it is only my opinion you don't find that much good music on the radio anymore. Everything goes in cycles and right now it needs to be flushed out again and started over. Rock, Rap and even country are just a blueprint now. Nothing really creative happening in the main stream.

"Old time radio programs from the 50's". Yes that is a station. That station could put me into a deep sleep, coma possibly.
Now this is a station that I would enjoy at work..... I also have to get some books on CD and download them to my MP3 player....

"Meebs.... And I always thought it was women whom aged men faster?"
True. Many women have driven men to drink very, very heavily.
However, for males who are smart enough to refuse the ball & chain, women do age a whole lot faster. Aging much faster for women may have lots to do with these women not having a BIG DADDY. LOL
