As of 7:05 AM, we officially tied the record for the lowest temperature ever on this particular day of the year. It's -24 F. It's not over yet. They say we have a shot at dropping the three degrees we need to, to match the coldest temperature in history, for Rockford, IL. All around us, temperatures are several degrees colder, and even our thermometer, here at home, reads lower. We show -26 right now, at our house.

It's so cold that strange people are knocking on doors, wanting to come in and warm up!

Then there was a few years back, when my Wife's Granny didn't make it back to their house after going out to use the facility.
It was a cold winter that one was!
They found her the next morning, the evening paper still in her hands.

The temp. is 12 F, but feels like -7 F in DC as of 9:30 AM. Everybody is rushing around and freezing their tails off. In fact, people have been at the office for approx. 30 minutes and are still freezing. Of course, I explain that the current DC temps is like Springtime temps in Green Bay.
