I won't tell you the name of my friend, but I will tell you he was born on Billy's Island, in Georgia. It's in the middle of the Okefenokee swamp, and really out of a page in history. Although he was quite young when they left there, he'd tell me stories that had been passed down from generations before him, about the people that spent time there. I was in awe. Here's a story written by T.L. Stone that will take you to Billy's Island, and give you a hint of what it represents. I have a hunch some of you will be looking for more information on it after you read this story. www.kudzumonthly.com/kudzu/aug01/billys.html
