The Packers fired McCarthy after a 20-17 loss to Arizona that dropped the Packers to 4-7-1 and basically eliminated the Packers from playoff contention( technically the Packers could still get in, but it would require a bunch of stuff like several teams losing out). McCarthy won 125 games with the Pack, second only to Curly Lambeaus 209, his 13 years is also second longest to Lambeau who coached 29 years. IMO it was time for a change, the playcalling was stale and predictable, and our defense simply could not stop anyone. This simply was a bad team this year.

I agree, the Pack ned to let go of the HC, I am really pumped to see if the Packers can just compete today with the bears. If they can win this one I really see them make the 6th seed into the playoffs. How did I lose my third Star?  |

Not sure. packers are done, following Sundays loss but Rodgers says hes playing this week. If the Packers lose to the Jets it will mark the first time since the legendarily bad 1958 squad that the Packers went winless on the road. Packers will wrap up the season at home against the lions. the packers can finish anywhere from 7-8-1 to 5-10-1
