Packers head to Dallas tpo face the cowboys for the first time in the postseason since the 1995 NFC title game, which dallas won 38-27. Thoughts on the game? I think the Packers have a good shot at winning this game.

I have to wait until late in the week to make a decision on this one. It all depends on the injury report for the Packers. It's pretty deep, and could directly effect the outcome.

Nelson looks to be out(two broken ribs), Monty is up in the air, he took a bad leg bend on that play. Pennell was released and could have been a BIG help against the run (he was 1.33 yards tougher when allowed to play.) Our secondary is still beat up but at least Randall is healthy and playing much better. Christine Michael can run at only one speed, and he many times is to fast to allow a block to develop, but he has his moments. Rip is still a fullback not a halfback) Monty being hurt takes him away from rob with fewer reps i would think. All this is early news , so like lets hope we can get some people back able to play .

Just think about this for a second, We still have Adams, Cobb, Allison, Monty, Cook(TE) that are players that can be thought of as a receiver even Cook at his size and speed plays as a receiver instead of a TE on certain downs and distance. Those players along with R Rodgers(TE) and Janis can do very well against the Cowboys if MM and Company use them correctly. AN example, Janis has speed, make a DB cover him , then a safety must cheat a bit because of his speed, then you have a big guy in Allison who can be on the other side needs a cb (now were talking at least the second best cb on Allison or 3rd best when you also go 4 wide with Adams and Cobb, then you empty the running back spot or put monty in there 5 receivers, between Janis pulling some coverage even if it is the 5 th best CB(which would be a mismatch in our favor) that leaves Cook with his size and speed in a certain mismatch, with still ADams and Cobb. The Packers need to pass 50 times this game and try to open it up deep for the others to get the mismatch under . The offensive line needs to play lights out in this game. I do feel they can do that. I feel a so called "UPSET" in Dallas, we stop the run game a bit, and the rookie QB will have to pass more and he will make mistakes, slow not Beasley number 11 on the short and slants we will win this game.

No Jordy, no win.
Cowboys 34 Packers 27
It's not going to be as close as the final score indicates. It's a 4th quarter comeback falling short.

Crosby nails a 51v yarder at the gun to send the Pack to the NFC title game 34-31! Rodgers was magnificent.

I don't think there's enough adjectives in the English language, to describe what Aaron Rodgers can do on a football field. It's nothing that can be taught. You can practice for it, and work towards it, but making it happen requires an inner strength that tells you just how hard the ball needs to be thrown as well as when. It's uncanny how he does it.
Someone mentioned last night that his QB rating for the game was under 100. The INT caused that. Throw out that one pass, and we're talking some very high numbers.
What makes Rodgers so special is the belief the players around him have in him. Every lineman blocks as long as they can. Each block is designed to be for as much as 7 or 8 seconds, not just the 3 seconds you usually see. Each receiver slowly begins to realize the importance of continuing running - finding a hole, and sitting down, waiting for Aaron to reach him.
I look at that pass to Cook, and think about how that had to be Cook's greatest catch in his career. Not just importance, but the way he did it, to stay in bounds, and the fact that the pass was right on the money, where he could make it happen. I'd guess he's going to watch replays of it, over and over, and ask himself how it could have possibly happened.
Why is that such a "great catch?" You judge catches based on three factors for importance. The throw itself. The mechanics of the catch. The significance of the catch. This particular pass is probably in the top 3 or 4 in the entire league, for this entire season, and playoffs, because of how all of these factors played into it. Even the fact that it was on 3rd down and an impossibly long situation makes it even more significant. It was the type of play that totally took a game to it's knees, and changed it from a potential loss to a win. It was one of the greatest plays I've ever seen, because of it's importance.
Now, after this nail biter, we go to Atlanta to meet the red-hot Falcons. Can Rodgers work his magic again? Is there anyone left, who isn't injured? On Wednesday, we'll hear about the injuries, and see where it's going. This could well be another magic carpet ride to the Super Bowl.

Niot only to the super Bowl Tw, but to a tot;le that would catapult Rodgers into very rarefied air when it comes to discussions of the greatest QB of all time. multiple titles separate the best of the best, from QBs that catch lightning in a bottle. Favre, as great as he was, only got 1 ring, and coughed up severa;l chances to add to the number, in 2003 2007 and 2009. Rodgers has a chance to get to another SB, after the 2014 chokejob.
