Well Masthay got the boot from Green Bay, they aquried Punter Jachum Schum off waivers from Tampa bay. Now lets see just how good masthay was. wow, he was a good holder for Crosby, he could tackle well as the last defender. and he was the Packers all time record holder in many stats.

I don't understand what the thinking is on this one. I don't know a thing about Jachum Schum but his stats aren't that great. Must be more to the story behind the scenes.

I think they are looking at cost, plus the one stat that he has wwwway better than Masthay is punting inside the 20 yard line, this guy is three times better. I must say though, is he as good in holding the ball for the place kicker? and can he be a fearless tackler like Masthay as the final defender if one return breaks it open? Also the obvious one is ,,how will he do in the very cold climate?

The need to constantly improve to earn your salary is essential in the NFL. Masthay hadn't been improving. In fact, he hasn't for a while.
This isn't the first time this has happened at the same point in time.
