He was a Packer through and through. Took less money, yet ended up making the Pro Bowl. Believed in making things happen. Was the guy who made a lot of the great plays we've seen happen, by throwing blocks nobody else on the team would have made. It's a business. That's the sad part. Yet, as fans, we're supposed to be loyal to a business that discards people who we think are important, when they're still capable of doing the job.
I guess my statement is to McCarthy and Thompson. "It's just a business. Win the whole damned thing this year or hit the road." It appears - at least to me - that the coaching staff is holding this team back when it shouldn't. Gotta let these guys let it rip, and quit dummying up the play book during games, and between games. There's no way a team can go from scoring 35 or more points a game against great teams to less than 14 points a game against weak teams, with the same personnel, if you haven't done something to make the team less productive. It doesn't just "happen."
