Watched the family night practice. Great seeing them on the field. Thought they practiced like they needed practice. Was to be expected.
I've been to three of them and in all honesty, would never go back. It's nothing but a chance to look at players during a loosely organized two hour workout, and not that intense.
I didn't see anything that impressed me. I didn't like seeing two FG attempts blocked but figured that's because the offensive linemen weren't working at it. Outside of those two kicks, Crosby was clock work from outside the 40 and 50.
Rodgers was accurate, and I thought Hundley showed poise in his 2 minute drill. He might be fine as the #2.
Not much else to talk about. Let's see what happens next weekend with the HOF game.

I didn't see any of it. I had an offer this week for 4 pre-season tickets to a game at Lambeau and I turned them down. I have no desire to pay full price for a pre-season game when it doesn't mean anything. I am working on getting tickets to see the Giants play at Lambeau on a Sunday night in October. That would be fun and hoping to pull it off! It's been a while since I've been to a game.
I didn't see any of the family night practice. I am looking forward to see how Hundley looks in pre-season. He looked good in his last game last year.

I had a chance to grab a pair to a preseason game at face value myself, and turned them down. Have absolutely no interest in spending that kind of money to watch a bunch of guys who aren't going to make the team play the entire game. It was the Bishop's Charity game.
It's gotten way too expensive for my taste. I'm retired.

Family night used to be a practice where we actually watched players perform. The announcers tracked it, and told everyone about the players, and where they stood in the pecking order.
As far as I'm concerned, the announcers for this practice did nothing more than interviews, and ignored the work on the field, with just glimpses of it when they weren't busy with face time with celebs they wanted to interview.
The whole concept has totally gone down the tubes. It's not what it was. It used to be a tough practice, with players actually doing what they could to showcase what they had. The whole league has taken a step back when it comes to competition levels.
