looks like all 4 are going to be put under the microscope to see if they have and are using the drug to help anti aging. Sure hope they do not lose any playing time, that would hurt the packers defense badly. The Steeler's losing Harrison would not hurt them near as much.

yes, but he is not on the team right now, they have not resigned him, I am concerned though, look at the defense without Mathews, Peppers.no Pennel for four games, the article says that Mathews and Peppers are to be looked at before July 17th and Neal on July 22 nd.

IF they are guilty, I'm never going to support any of these players again. People who cheat to compete are worthless in my eyes. I'd just as soon see them booted out of the game instead of just suspended.

I agree, but if they wanted they could boot out more likely 95% of the players, They almost all do it to compete. shame, but true, One reason the body builders started another comp. years ago, to mant were using drugs to get bigger and stronger and to help define the muscle, so now we have the regular contests and the All drug free contest. sorry to say, this is today's way of doing things, cheat the rules and not get caught.By using any and all means.

It's like baseball. As far as I'm concerned, Maris with 61 HRs and Ruth with 60, are the winners. Since it took more than 154 games for Maris to hit #60 & 61, he goes in for totals in a season but Ruth still owns the old record which should stand forever.
The pretenders, like Sammy Sosa, who was a .230 hitter with warning track power should have everything they've done removed from the record books. Bonds is the same thing, and so are the rest of the cheats.
I remember Gonzalez (I think the name is right) who was with Arizona punching out 45 to 55 HRs a year, and the guy wasn't capable of hitting 10 without the steroids. They destroyed baseball during that era. It will never be the same, until they get a handle on it and turn it into a game that is fan friendly.
Sorry. I remember the days when football players took jobs delivering beer during the off season, to build up muscles, and make a living. They weren't prima donnas, and didn't such the life blood out of everything they touched. They were approachable, friendly, and even a real part of the communities they played and lived in.
That's gone. Soon it will be nothing but something from the past that nobody even considers important.
I keep seeing these "rankings" of the best players of all time, and laugh when I see how they judge these people. Stats don't always tell the story. Sometimes it's the little things that don't show up in record books that makes the difference. Bart Starr was not the most prolific passer of all time, and didn't throw for more TDs than anyone else. But, you can't put a statistic to field leadership so he's forgotten as being the man who engineered the Packers on the field, for years. In those days, the QBs made the calls, not the coach on the sideline, and those who watched, and knew the game, also knew the man was a genius at making the right calls at the right time, and that's what makes greatness. It isn't stats.
Example. Why don't I think Favre is the greatest QB the Packers have ever had? He lost control of common sense at times and made stupid mistakes that leaders don't make. His interceptions at times cost them games, and even seasons. Yes, he also won games at the same time, but the end result is how you played constantly. One of the best passers of all times, but not nearly a good field general. He'll never measure up to Marino, Young, Starr, Montana, Rodgers, Manning, or Staubach. These guys played the game with a cool calm that made their teams successful during seasons that they really lacked enough talent to even be competitive.

I agree with what you say ,maybe one or two points but over all as an old guy I remember the good days of Football, baseball, basketball even. I must though disagree with you about Dan Marino, he was nothing more than a flat foted strong armed quick release deep ball QB. and in his days with his receiveing group and offensive line and running backs and TE he was able to produce yards and TDs. but he never could carry a good team over the hump, and he also never won a Super Bowl when he could have won up to 3 if he was as good as the other QB.s you mentioned in your list. Marino was one of the top 5 over rated QBs in History. JMO

I wasn't listing the greatest QBs. Just making a comparison. Times changed. I was referencing QBs from the past who called their own offensive games. Marino was not one of the great QBs, but he was one of the better ones who played in the league.
I'm not going to fault Marino for no championships, because if I did, then I'd be saying Rodgers is a putz because the Packers should have won about three with him too.
A lot of what happens throughout the course of a career is not something a player can control. It's often dictated by coaching, and the make up of the team.

I agree, but he had one of the the best over all teams at that time for a number of years (two of the best receivers in the league stayed on the team for 7-9 years because they had not cap and so forth and could keep a good team together longer than in todays games) and he really never got that one ring. he was passing crazy when the league was not so, today, this league is pass first and the rules are for the passing game more so. besides, you know that even back then the QB called plays that were in the teams play book and the plays that were given them for that one game each week, they DID hAVE more ley way to call the plays, but it is not much different now with the good ones, they listen to the play called in and have the go to make a play change if they think they see something after the play was called in., they get 15 seconds or more to change the phoned in call. anyway, point well taken and learned.

Actually, the Dolphins defense wasn't as solid as it could be. They always gave up over 20 pts per game. That era also was the banner years of the Buffalo Bills with Jim Kelly, and the Patriots were already becoming a power house. It was a tough division to play in.
About the best way to describe Marino is that he was one of the best players to never win the big game.
There are others who fit into that mold though. Lots of them. Like him or not, Fran Tarkenton was one heck of a QB in his own right, and Minnesota never won the big one. They also had Warren Moon and Joe Kapp. Three guys that in my opinion would have been much higher rated had they won the big game.
Maybe we put way too much judgment into that one game, and not enough into the body of work the person did. Just a thought.

I just cannot see Peppers as a user, and Mathews has a big family that played in the NFL and I think his growth spurt in school was just part of his linage. and as far as Neal. I can see him using early, and then getting off them and using the weight loss reason was to play more outside and not against the run as much (although that makes sense) but he was so chiseled that is why I think he could have been using something. Oh well, we shall see soon maybe. I am so ready for the preseason and football this year. gut feeling, the Packers will do well very well!

I don't see it with Peppers either. His conditioning program is so intense, and even his diet is perfect. I can't see him damaging that with an illegal drug. But, they'll suspend him if there's cause.

Rumor has it that Peppers and Matthews are going to be sat down for four games to start the season. I hate that!
