The Browns are cleaning house,, they let go of linebacker Dansby. I think he could come cheap and he would be a good player for the Packers. I also feel that it will never happen because he is over 30 and that he plays the wrong position out of the linebackers we have that start. but he would be a solid fill in on certain down and distance i think. anyone hear thik he could help the Packers?

I doubt that they'll even consider him to be honest. They passed on two high character inside linebackers who could have made an impact, so I don't see them moving on Karlos.

Dansby will have several teams looking at him so there will be a bidding war!
He is a street free agent and doesn't count towards the compensatory draft pick, so my guess is TT does make a call and gives a dollar amount. But in all likelihood another team will top it and TT bows out! The only way I see Packers having a chance is if Dansby is serious about playing for a SB contender. But then there's the Bengals and Cardinals who may be interested as well.
Less than 10% chance is all I give it.

from what I read, he seems to be able to cover the TE well and has a little trouble with the RB .all in the flats but he does play the run well. i think he could help. BUT,,,at what cost? i doubt we get him. Oh well.

I wonder if the Packers are going to end up using a modified 4-3 this year, where one of the down guys is a hubrid DL/Linebacker?

I do not know, but i do know that we lost raji, and Pennel for 4 games, that gives us NO True NT, we really need to find two guys who can play in a 3-4 . The Draft has a lot of solid "big guys" so i am thinking they draft two to bring the defensive line back to help stop the run. Pennel was playing well and is young and still has upside, but he needs a solid side kick and then we need a good back up, will be fun to see what goes on in this draft, cannot wait!
