Well, there goes a young(26) solid DB, he has had his injury problems and he was asking for a ton of money, but he was solid depth inside or out. I guess they think that we have solid guys that are making minimum and have room to improve are a better value than Hayward. he went to the Chargers who really need a decent CB.

Hayward's best year was his first year. He was a ball hawk. I think that player is still inside of him. It just needs to play through a season without injury.
I don't blame him for leaving. Coaches have "mindset." In their minds, he was never going to be more than a nickel or dime back, and an "adequate" 4th CB in the rotation. Outside of GB, they'll explore more of his talent.
Will we miss him? Die hard fans will say he's a traitor, and was worthless. To me, Hayward was untapped potential, and far from worthless.
What surprised me is that they didn't try stretching his skills to safety as well. From what I remember, he was a pretty good tackler.
I wish him luck.

with Gunter able to come in on run downs, Rollins and him will be cheaper than the 5 mill(2.5 mill right now) Hayward wanted and Gunter plays the run more sure handedly than Hayward. I like Hayward, but he was expendable with Shields, Randle,ROLLINS,GUNTER,and HYDE.

I'm surprised about how many CBs we say we have, and so few safeties. Some of these guys should have already been converted.

we have Ha-Ha, and Burnett, and then we have Hyde who could fill in. and even Gunter.then Banjo if in a pinch.
