Many years ago I had the opportunity, as a police officer, to study profiling techniques. Essentially, people like gimpy act out to make up for their own inadequacies. Their manifestation of "control" is their only way of showing that they are capable of "being in charge." They'll do anything to maintain this control because without it, they're nothing but a shell of a person. They lack the back-bone to actually achieve a level of authority/leadership in the real world, and use their position of authority on the internet to make up for their shortcomings. On a positive note, personality types like him rarely become real world leaders, because they lack the ability to control situations as they actually occur. At best, they live vicariously through their on-line persona. Excuse my moment of psychology. Once in a while, you just gotta tell it like it is.

i could tell you things from that site in which i think would be hard to take in and believe that there are people that ill minded. HYATT worry's about people who post more than him, because he knows more and dislikes them writing that his posts are not accurate, he lets the editor know that he cannot or does not do a good job as a wrier/editor. he curses all the time, he changes topic all the time. that is enough of the good stuff, but if you want to know how he tells all this,,, it is a disgusting flap of his jaws how he trys to make people think he is so much wiser. Smarter. he claims to be a genus, he misspells on purpose yet belittles all others for not using proper English and telling them they have a brain of a 5 year old or worse, anyway, this guy is killing the site. I agree with your profile of Gimpy.

It sounds like Hyatt suffers from a case of self low esteem. To cover it, he uses the approach you indicated, to make himself appear to be more than he is, even though people can see through his facade. He's kind of like a "false prophet," whose boasts are that even if he's wrong, because he said it, it has become the "new" gospel.
Spelling shouldn't be an issue for anyone because all of us, regardless of our education, or background, will spell some words wrong, or use improper grammar when we type or write. It's human nature.
It's too bad that a site like that can have fools running it.

I still have a picture taken back when Packer Report was a great online presence, and physical paper. Pictures taken when we partied with the owner of the paper, up in Green Bay, before a game. They were great people, and ran the site well. After it was bought out by the new owners, and they brought in morons like the gimp, it went totally down the tubes. Not worth visiting, and not worth reading to be honest. It's too bad that there are people out there like those who are leading the way on PR. All this brings up an interesting blast from the past. I still have copies of all the communications I had with gimp and others, and how gimp lied to get his foot in the door, and continued to lie, and undermine the people who were actually running the site so long ago. I'll never forget how he threw Nick under the bus. I was mobilized during the Gimp takeover and missed all that drama! Still don't know what happened. (How can you throw Nick under the bus?) There are quite a few good posters over there, but unfortunately the site has a strong self-appointed alpha male (used in the pejorative sense) with quite a large contingent of sycophants.

ya, i just could not believe in the posters that would say nothing to a person who told them they cannot comprehend anything he writes because of there low IQ/s he also would tell people that he was a person who won all but one case in a court (Wisconsin)by representing himself and by doing so for others, and he has no law degree or anything for a legal rep. he is a construction person who knows all about engineering, he can tell people about what is wrong with there body even though he has no clue as to training, everything he reads on the forum he is the best of all people and tells them in no such nice way. He is what i call a "Google Man" he reads things looks them up types them in and tells people that is he. and then to say he is also good friends with Gimpy. I have never meet such a phoney and a person who hates others. Oh well, i said enough. (maybe:) I was there in 2000 or so, lost a lot of good Posters because of those two. Oakleaf, I like your Avatar.

Oakleaf - Nick was the administrator of the site. Several of us on the board here were moderators. Gimpy was added as a moderator. The short story is that Gimpy went behind Nick's back to start trouble with the new owners of the site. Most of us quit as moderators because we couldn't work with Gimpy and his attitude, and he ended up taking Nick out of the picture through his contacts above his head. At that point, several of us decided it wasn't acceptable, and stated our opinion, and Gimpy immediately banned us from the site.
Since then, I don't know what all has happened, but I do know I get emails from people who still visit the site because of it's other content, and they say he's made it his personal playground for attacking people.
To be honest, I don't really care. I remember the site when it was run right, and the owner himself was a friend, who told us what was, and wasn't acceptable, and we made people adhere to the rules, and adhered to them ourselves.

I've had more than a few friends post there, but they have ALL dropped off after a post or two because they didn't like a certain poster. People like to come and talk Packers, see what others have to say, share their viewpoints and not be browbeat with a two page sophomoric "My dick is bigger than yours" type of dissertation on why they are wrong and he is right. The mod's approach appears to be believing that that specific poster is good at not starting anything so if he gets at someone, he's just reciprocating so the mod will let it slide. Problem is, it's made that poster into a very good passive-aggressive baiter. That's my opinion anyway. I see a lot of original posters, and posters that have came and went to that forum moved to Packer Chatters. What do you think of that site?

hey guys. i'm still around. busy following the badgers, who seem to be headed ti the right direction. i think they make the tourney if they can get to 10-8 in conference. as for needs for the Pack. i say sign peppers, try and get a te- cause we havent had a good one since Finley- and try and strengthen the oline.

yes. yes, we need a real good LT. Bak Is decent but no J Thomas. I would love to see a impact TE, but if the receiving group of Nelson, Janis, Cobb, Montgomery, Abbs. and from what i have read, this years draft is loaded with big fast talented receivers. get one of them If that goes well R. Rodgers and Perrilo, or Backman would do ok. But yes, A top tier TE would be great. I wish some players would sign for small money just to keep a strong unit together for three more years. Selfless group would give a team like the Packers a very very good shot at winning two SB's before Rodgers Fades away. I think they need to draft a big running back, Lacy seems to have lost his head. the defensive line and DE along with the linebackers is going to be tough to see some go that really made them as good as they were. But i guess we got to trust the coaches and the draft. to improve. more ,once we can get a better look at the draft and see who the Packers thin out early.

Get Thomas for LT and there's no doubt about it, the Packers move to the head of the class on the offensive line. I wonder what will happen later this year when Tretter & Linsley battle it out for the job at center, or if the Packers opt to move Tretter out to LT.

I just sense that if A. Rodgers does not get sacked much less than as of late he is going to crack. really, i can see it in his face he needs to take half as many hits and sacks to make it for another 3-5 years.
