I believe this will be a much closer game than the last time. Arizona is beatable, but we have to play way better. I like that I finally saw some enthusiasm against the Redskins but AZ is a much better team. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think the Packers have enough to pull out the upset.
AZ 23 GB 17

The Logic is there, But I am going with the other side of why i think we can win. The Packers offensive line is getting healthy. They may of found a LT (In Tretter) )who can safe Rodgers butt. That will make in its second week of playing together a better line. The run game will get much better, Lacy is due to have a better day and Starks is on a smooth roll. Then we have Rodgers looking like he is trusting the receivers again. Cobb can have a big day as long as Adams and Jones can play the outside lanes and s-t-r-e-t-c-h the db;s and force a safety or both top play over top . that will allow the run and R. Rodgers and Cobb to have big days. Crosby will be in a nice cozy stadium. The Packers must jump up early and Palmer (who always had trouble when behind in big games) will toss two to many ints, to Hayward,Rollins(if he plays) or to Randell. I will go with the Packers 31 and the Cards 21.
Oh I forgot to look which refs are in this game certainly the line judge.

I said i'd wait until I heard the injury report and make my decision. The injury report is in. Problem is, I don't feel comfortable about this game in either direction. I'd like to pick the Packers to take the game in an upset, but I have heard the comments made by several Packers that it's the Cards who are on the spot, not them, because they are expected to win.
To me, that's the stupidest comments any player or coach can make. It's like saying; "Heck! It don't matter! We ain't expected to win anyhow!"
People can argue that this isn't the intent of a statement like that, but it actually is. It's an excuse, in advance, that you're not going to be in it to the end.
That said, I wonder if some of the Packer players will take this game on their shoulders and win it anyhow.
My pick:
Cardinals 38 Packers 17
I think their big mouths make it a blow-out.

Is Adams not playing going to be a blessing? Or will he hurt the offense? Abbs. will get most of His snaps if not all.

If Abbs plays, and Rodgers takes advantage of him being out there, he could get a TD, and could end up being the best receiver for this particular game. I say this because they will concentrate their defense on Cobb & Jones. This will give Abbs more moving room, and he could be a solid choice over the middle, between layers of defense in a zone, or in mismatches when they play man coverage.
That said, I don't think McC understands how important any of it is.

I think the big difference in this game will be we must run well and the TE position with a 2 set TE in Rodgers and Perillo. The receivers are all almost the same. They just cannot get open enough, Maybe with a slant play from Rodgers, Perillo OR Abbs. it may just be enough to keep the offense moving.

The slants are what I'm looking at as being the game opener for the Packers. If they use them, and they work, we could do well. That said, McC seems to disdain them in favor of the screens.

the Packers are hinting that they will play Cobb on the weak side flanker, They feel he is better with his cuts and routes than Abbs and he may help them open the field a bit. I still feel that it is to little in the first three receivers of Cobb, Jones, Abbs. They need the slant and TE,s with the run game to move the ball and eat the clock up to win this. (since it looks like Janis will get little time to try and open the field)

I agree on the slants. It freezes linebackers, and forces safeties to stay at home, to prevent the slant from being turned into a deep route. It at least opens holes for a few yards in the ground game, and sometimes enough to break past the second level.
Since everyone is playing 8 or 9 in the box against the Packers, it would guarantee man coverage on the guys on the outside.

ya, and once they toss a few good slants, let them go with a the screen pass. disguised well that would work well after a slant play i think. RUN,RUN the ball

Janis looked good, to bad they were Forced to play him. I still feel he was ready in game 4 play every game there after, and if he had been given a fair shot he would have been the number one receiver and showing what a big fast receiver could do to make the ENTIRE offense play better. to bad MM was so dumb.

That was a fantastic football game! I feel much better about our future after watching the game last night. It was so nice to see some of our young guy step up and play well. This team played with a ton of heart and never gave up. Something that I thought was missing for the second half of the year. The future looks bright in Green Bay.

I agree. This game, even though they lost, was redemption. The players proved they won't give up. Now, let's see if the front office and coaches will harness that dedication properly.

I think TT is the one that should be on the hot seat. He deserves some criticism for not doing enough to add some depth to this team. Time to do something in free agency and spend some money. We all can see our weaknesses and it needs to be addressed in the off season. I don't believe you can do it all through the draft.
