Serious Question: Did we have an offensive game plan going into this game? Does MM really think we believe his BS how this team believes in itself? This is the first Packer team I can remember in a long time that has gotten progressively worse as the season has gone on. I turned the game off last night after the AP touchdown. I saw one the of Packer defenders patting Peterson on the back and laughing with him after the score. I think it was Mike Daniels but I'm not positive. It was right before the commercial. I told my wife that when I care more than the players do it's time to go to bed.
The Vikings wanted this game more, plain and simple. They deserved to win. I hate to say it but this is not a playoff team and it's an embarrassment for the Packers to waste a spot.

I keep hearing McCarthy's comments about fans being unfaithful to the team. The truth is, fans are becoming unfaithful to him, and the people in the front office, who don't recognize the fact he has to be sent packing, along with several of his coaches. The way the offense plays is totally unacceptable, and you can see it in Rodgers' eyes. He just doesn't seem to be in tune with game plans, or the way the players respond to specific situations. It's as if they are being told to do the opposite of what Rodgers has always expected out of them in the past.
As far as McCarthy taking back the play calling, I get this sick feeling in my gut that he's trying to make it appear that this is all Thompson's fault. Maybe Thompson told him to relinquish the play calling? Maybe he's trying to "teach Thompson a lesson," by blowing the entire season. The fact remains, this team has some talented players who make plays, yet, we can't win with the coaches we have. I'm not blaming Thompson. I see the game plans. They are totally worthless. Fat boy is so obsessed with making the run work that he forces the run by the packages of players he has on the field, for plays. Even when there are 8 in the box, or as they described 9 inside, and two corners playing man on the outside, we are forced to run. The personnel on the field doesn't allow for a pass. That is game plan, and it sucks.
McCarthy needs to go. After they lose the game at Washington, and they should, it's time for Thompson to go to the top and tell them it's time for a complete change of leadership on the field. Bring in a guy who knows the WCO, and uses it to Rodgers and the rest of the team's advantage. Obviously, these coaches don't realize that Cobb has to be either a decoy drawing two guys, or the long threat, because of his speed. Instead, they send Jones, who is slower than the corners deep.
At times, I wonder if McCarthy is looking for a way to leave GB, and is using poor game planning as a tool to make it happen. This is the worst 10 win team I've ever seen in the NFL. There is no way you go 6-0, then after a bye, go 4-6, and look like a loser, unless the whole coaching philosophy coming out after the bye is wrong.
I want McCarthy gone. I also want to see the Packers out of it as soon as possible, since they can't possibly win more than one playoff game. I want a somewhat respectable draft pick. This team's leadership is worthless. They no longer believe in themselves on the field.

I have never been this disgusted and frustrated with a Packers team. Even in the 80's when we lost more than we won. It's extremely frustrating as a fan to watch so much talent go to waste.
I just don't think they will fire MM. I'd like to see it happen too, although I don't know who I would want to replace him.

What's even more frustrating is that the Packers could beat the Redskins, get lucky against the Panthers, and end up having Seattle visit us in GB, to see who ends up in the Super Bowl. Based on how strangely this season has gone, anything could happen.

did you just bump your head? with the health of the team alone, they will not beat the panthers or get to Seattle. I like what you propose, but, I can dream only for so long. I do feel we can beat the Skins, but again all has to go the way of the Packers. Our offense alone would not be able to keep up to the skins, and then we must hope all goes to plan. I am ready to watch this sunday and cheer them on for a win. (longshot in my thoughts) I went out and found a four leaf clover. Go Pack Go!

LOL - Despite my belief McC has destroyed this team, I have a modicum of faith in the players and in their ability to take over a game despite the coaching. I think this team is still that talented, and I believe the offensive line is capable of doing the job "if," and I say "if," McC and Clements get out of their way. These players have the tools, but they aren't allowed to use them as they should.
Regardless of what McC says, the pass is needed to establish the run, not the opposite way around as he continues to cling to. I'm tired of watching these failures due to coaching.
I guess inside my pessimism is just a touch of optimism.

I've thought about that as well. I could see us getting destroyed by Washington and on the flip side, a big run in the playoffs could happen. This team can beat anybody and can get beat by anybody.

do you really think with a beat up offensive line and the receivers and TE's we are playing now that they really can play well enough to get to the SB? (I am sorry I cannot see it) BUT,,, you got to know I will be cheering every step of the way for the packers!!

I didn't think they'd win the last one they were in, as a wild card. It's one game at a time from here on in. Anything can happen.

I love getting another star!! thanks makes me feel better!! I am only going to type positive things about the packers this week. I have listened and read where the coaches and team have been getting bummed out a bit about the fans NOT supporting the team on some forums. So I wanted to just say I know the Packers can beat the skins, They will have a run game this weekend, the defensive line will stop the ave run game of the Skins, the db's safeties will stop the big play game of the skins something they have thrived on. Our linebackers will throttle the good TE the skins have and limit him to be a non factor in the game. come on everyone lets write about the good things this team can do to win this game!! Go Pack GO!!!
