This may sound funny, but the Packers season hinges on this game, against the Raiders. I say this for what I think is good reason. As all of you have pointed out, the Packers aren't showing a deep threat. I find it surprising, since we all know that Cobb is one of the faster guys in the NFL. Why isn't Cobb a deep threat? It makes one think for a moment.
You need two deep threats. Cobb would be one, and even though Abbs isn't a speed burner, he runs good routes, and has good hands. That means you can throw off the defender with him, and he puts his body in position to shield the ball. That's exactly what Nelson does. Use Cobb & Abbs deep, and do it off of play action roll outs if you can't get time in the pocket. You can always run one of these guys down the near side sideline, have him cut in at a 90’ angle, and let the other guy take a 45’ in cut and watching be clear as he clears the middle. If the defender shades him inside, fake the inside cut and cut out at an angle that gives only the receiver a chance to catch a pass delivered to the outside. We don't even work off their tendencies any more.
I'm going to give this one to the Packers 27-21. Probably because we scored last.

tough game in Oakland, It all depends on how bad they want the game,I have read already that the team is talking like,, and i dislike this type talk. But they know they can LOSE both the Raiders game and the cards game and still win the div by playing the last game at home and beating the Vikes. I really hope MM keeps them focused on each game and to play hard to win . If Rodgers can escape the raiders pass rush and they run the ball well they can beat the raiders. this could be one of those games. Raiders, 31, Packers 21

The Raiders aren't a great team but it is at their place. I think the Packers find a way to win this one.
Packers 24 Raiders 17
Let's hope we find a way to win and the Eagles can knock off Arizona this week! We still have a shot for a bye!

lets hope they do not look ahead and that MM when he takes a lead, try's to build on it not sit on it! I still am not happy with the passing game. Adams hurts more than helps, J Jones has hit the wall. Cobb is not a outside receiver he is a slot man. Abbs is young and he is a decent 3 receiver, but once again, that is not the player we need, It is the big tall strong fast deep receiver we are missing.
