One of the most improbable wins in Packers history. Starr had the Ice Bowl sneak. Majik had the instant replay game and Favre had the last second dart to Taylor in 1992, but this ranks up there with them all. Packers looked dead in the first half then rally late to steal a huge win. lose we're 7-5, and barely hanging on to a playoff. Instead the win keeps us alive for the division and an outside shot at the 2 seed.

I've seen people making comments that the play should have never happened. The face mask penalty shouldn't have been called. But, it was called, and it appeared to be a legit call, and after reviewing it, I too would have made the call. You keep your hands off the face mask. End of story! But, what these objectors totally forget is that just a couple of plays earlier, a pass to Abby down the sideline, which would have put the Packers in FG range, was missed. Oh yeah, the announcers tried to say the defender was looking to the ball, but he wasn't. He was so busy pushing on Abby, and stuffing himself in a position to block him that he never saw the ball, even when it hit him in the helmet. End of story there too! No call. Could have been, probably should have been, Packers should have been trying at least a FG for the win.
This wasn't a coaching win by any stretch of the imagination. This was a story of players taking the last few minutes of a game on their own shoulders, and making what appeared to be impossible become reality. This is the kind of story that tells you how important the psychological aspect of the game comes into play. You gotta believe, and you gotta believe in the guy next to you, that you can do what it takes to win. No matter how much talent you have, or how much of a display of emotions you show on the field, if you don't believe, that pass falls to the ground and the Lions win.

they got rid of the incidental facemask penalty- which was 5 yards, a number of years ago . now ANY facemask penalty is the 15 yard variety- formerly the ' major' facemask penalty. in the old days that penalty is probably the 5 yard variety. still the game cant end on a penalty. we get 10 days to heal up and face Dallas minus Romo.
