I never thought I'd see the day this year, where the Vikings are as good as the Packers, either with record, or in talent level. But, that's where it stands right now, both 6-2, and when I looked at the NFL standings, the Vikings were listed ahead of the Packers.
If the Vikings are that good, where are the individual stars - the play makers - like the Packers have on their roster? How can we believe that Teddy Bridgewater could play as well as Rodgers? How can we believe that Adrian Peterson is better in total than our combination of Starks & Lacy? Granted, a slight edge, but not enormous enough to make the difference between Rodgers and Bridgewater moot.
How can we equate their defense as being as good as ours. Where's their Peppers & Matthews? Where's their big guys like Daniels? Who do they have that could take jobs away in our secondary?
Quite honestly, I think that the Packers talent level is about 85 in a scale of 100. The Patriots are at 88. The Broncos are at 81, and the Panthers are a 77. The Vikings are around a 62. That;s how much of a difference I see, across the board.
Yet, we keep letting McC underachieve with the talent he has on the team, and accept it, because mediocrity is good enough, for fans who don't understand the game.
