Some would say we are spoiled as Packer fans. I like to think we just have higher expectations.
This years team will probably win the North again, although the Vikings could very well take that from us this year.
We will win a home playoff game and lose the next one on the road. Sound familiar? For years this team cannot win against good teams on the road and show no signs of getting over that. I find it frustrating that this plays out the same way year after year.
I'm guessing we will beat the Lions at home and many Packer fans will be happy again.

Yup! Just win more than you lose, and we're happy! That don't work for me. When we have a team that has so many playmakers on it, and talent across the board, not living up to their ability, that's on the coaching staff. But, for some, this is just fine. Heading back to the doldrums of the 70s & 80s, when people like my brother and I paid the price for eight season tickets, just to help keep the team afloat, that's not what it's about anymore. Produce and win. If you can't, get new coaches.
If the offensive line can look so good in one game, and so bad in the next, are we saying that they don't have enough talent to play there, or are they poorly coached. Obviously, if they are good one day, and not the next, it isn't as if they took stupid pills, and suddenly became 120# weaklings. Something happened to have an effect on how they play. That leaves coaching as the element missing.
After listening to this "execution" thing for so long, I'm ready to vomit every time I hear it coming out of McCarthy's mouth.
As for the defense, I'm not in the slightest bit surprised that there was a side line blow up. I don't think they have the three levels of defense all on the same page, simply because of a lack of good coaching. The bit between Peppers & Clinton-Dix was between two guys who are doing their best on the field to make an impact. If it helps the team move forward, and get on the same page, it could end up being a catalyst for the future.
That said, I see the coaching staff downplaying what happened, and turning it all into wasted effort.
I can hear McC now.... WE DIDN'T EXECUTE LIKE WE SHOULD. BUT, I'LL TAKE THE BLAME. ( To get everyone feeling sorry for him.)
Sorry! I saw a bunch of players take the game on their own shoulders towards the end of the game, and forget the coaching staff. The problem was, they did it too late. They need to have more of a fire in their belly and McC doesn't know how to make that happen. We have to remember, he says the players should do that themselves. I guess he figures they don't need leadership, and gives none.

I wouldn't be surprised if we make Stafford look like an all pro this week.
