Okay. Yardage allowed is important. 8th best? Not bad, considering where we could be, due to injuries, and guys in the penalty box for stupidity, when the season started. I think that's solid.
Even more important, in my book, points allowed, not even considered in this evaluation. We are in third place. Only the Cardinals and Pats have given up less, and we're talking the total of one two point conversion. That's not shabby. That, in my estimation, is pretty darned good.
Now, let's temper this with a few facts. Who did we play? None of the teams we played have really set the league on fire, and if the 49ers are a prime example.... they got squat on offense. On defense, they did hold us down, not letting Rodgers control the game.
Looking at one particular stat. The long pass. We aren't connecting with many. The Jones catch on the side line was a masterpiece that will be in the highlight reels. None after that, despite the speed of Cobb. Reason? Two offensive tackles who aren't getting the job done. Our guards have to help them out, and so do our backs. That makes us vulnerable to delayed blitzes up the middle. Rodgers needs a quick release, or he's toast.
4-0. Gotta love it no matter who we beat getting there. Only 4 times in the last two decades. Great runs in two of those seasons.
Here's the poll on where the Pack will finish at the end of the season on yards allowed. I don't agree with it, but at the same time, I'm not certain. I just hope the fans aren't right.

I chose 11-15, and would be pleased with that. How about you?
