I've heard betting lines favor the Packers by 3 to 4 points. That means they are considered even, home field making the difference. If they were playing in Seattle, I think the swing would be to them being about a 5 or 6 point pick.
Last week, the Packers defense was gashed by the Bears, both running, and passing. It wasn't pretty, and to be honest, I think the Seahawks will pick them apart. I don't think the Packers can win this one with 28 points to be honest. It could be a high scoring affair.
Wilson will throw the ball, and exploit those open middles better than Cutler. He can run, and could end up with 60 or more yards running on broken plays. When they're forced to watch the middle for his scampers, he's going to pick the defense apart with short passes, and the running game outside the tackles.
On defense, the Seahawks played a horrible game against the Rams. That's not going to happen again. Rodgers & company are going to have to earn their scores. it will be tough. I'm not convinced our red zone offense is ready to be prime time. Let's hope it is.
I hate to do this but I have to pick the Seahawks to win this one by a score of 38-31. A case of Capers defense failing again.

It looks like Bulaga will be a no-show on Sunday. The injury may be severe enough to cost him one or more games.
He's injured so often that it seems like he's never going to be truly healthy.
I don't know how to explain the many injuries the Packers suffer. It seems like they are plagued by them.

It Is the left knee the same one that he had fixed , I read where they think he will give it a try on Friday and may play at first Sunday night. But if he does not play at all I would rather have Tretter or Rotherman,Vujnovich or any one BUT Barclay play RT anybody from the street. We have seen him for years play ave. when he thinks he is playing well. He has NO upside and he holds to often and he cannot pass block at all, so he plays RT on blocks ok maybe for the run but stinks on the pass plays. Looks like A TE is going to be in almost every play blocking and chipping to help the RT.

I agree. I also want to see them work on making these guys interchangeable enough that we can plug a person in and not miss a beat. I'm tired of this line juggling routine that the Packers employee. It disrupts too many positions for one injury. Now, who steps up as the LT back up? Barclay? ? Scary, ain't it?

Bulaga is out. Barclay will start. I am hoping Tretter comes in at RT BEFORE Barclay gets Rodgers hurt.

It appears the Packer brass are really conceding this game. I read a few things that leads me to feel they are holding people back that could play to make sure they are ready for the rest of the season and by doing that almost surely losing this Seattle game in G.B.

The good old fashioned "prevent defense," stretched over the course of an entire game. Kind of what we expect from the Packers with McC the coach.
Let's hope his plan doesn't include Rodgers getting hurt because of it.

packers get the win 27-17. d played well enough and Rodgers was the difference. the mobility he lacked last year in the title game was there this time. Pack now 2-0, alone in 1st. bears are 0-2 and could be without Cutler for several weeks. lions lost to the vikes and Dallas is going to be without Romo for at least half the season.

That was a nice surprise and a nice win. I liked the intensity of defense. That's the first time in a long time I can remember guys playing with that much energy and gang tackling the way they did last night. Overall, that was fun to watch and a much needed win!

Elliot has earned himself more playing time. He played with intensity. I also liked the way both of our new CBs played. They didn't get flustered, and kept their receivers fairly well in check. That said, there was one glaring error by one or both of them, when the Seahawks had a long completion down the left side line. It didn't end up as a score, so it becomes a teaching tool in meetings this coming week.
The Seattle offensive line sucks. Really bad, regardless of what anyone thinks. They couldn't handle anything at the point of attack. Watching their running game implode was nice. It also made our defensive line look darned good.
Matthews is pretty much resigned to being inside. He's there over 80% of the snaps. It does cost us outside, because we don't seem to be able to contain outside with him inside. Of course, watching the "25 year old" Peppers play is a joy. This guy is amazing. He's always there, when needed. I saw him turning guys into other tacklers constantly, instead of letting them deke him out and get past him. He's in the hunt for defensive MVP if you ask me.
Bakhtari is never going to be a solid left tackle, despite the fact he;s a pretty good run blocker. He is constantly beat to the outside. As far as Barclay, on the other side.... he needs to go. IF they wanted to, they could have called him for holding a couple dozen times last night. The thing that kept Rodgers upright was that he moved around, and stepped up in the pocket, knowing the two tackles weren't going to stop the pass rush, so the three inside guys needed to make a "push," to give him room. It did work. It won't work again. Teams will blitz up the middle.
Interestingly enough, the Seahawks didn't blitz last night. Stayed with a 4 man front, dropped to a 3 man front on passing downs, and in short yardage plays, just moved a 5th guy on the line from the linebacking corps All straight forward defenses. I wonder if it would have been the same if Kam Chancellor was playing.
By the way. I think the Chancellor situation is testing the resolve of the players in Seattle. He's the guy who leads their defense, and talks "team" all the time. Yet, here he is, with three years left on a cvontract, holding out for more money and showing his teammates it's really not about team, it's about him. His image has been pretty badly tarnished. They may have to play back through the wild card games to make it in the playoffs.
Anyhow, like Collinsworth said last night, the Packers essentially own a 3 game advantage over them only two games in, because of the head to head win. It's so much nicer looking down at the teams who can challenge, then looking up, and figuring out if you can challenge them.
