James was cut by the Giants. Last year, with the Raiders, he caught 73 passes. He's a possession receiver. I'd bet it's at least a 50/50 chance he'll sign with the Packers on a one year deal, and it will signal Abbs is cut.

I hope not, Jones is not as good today as the receivers we have now on the roster. I also would rather have EX Colts 36 year old who ASKED to be released from the Pats play or even look at Hakeem Nicks who is 27, maybe these two have a little more to offer than J Jones. we don't need another possession type player, Cobb, Montgomery,Adams all play that way. One reason i was rooting so hard for Janis he is a big fast deep ball type with great hands that also could play the shorter routes as well. White is a smaller qick player who also has the shoulders to be a solid possession type player who also seems to have a knack for the slant routes and just getting open.
