ya, they said because he played LT in school he was given a shot at it, but i also recall them not only saying his left leg movement to push back and out was to short and not quick enough. they also thought his arms were a little short. But he can play the position better than Barclay. so also remember that the LT needs to protect the QB's blind side. so and they roll to the right more often so they need the better pass blocker on the left and since Barclay was decent at RT on run plays he would fit better there. I am still hoping that maybe a newbe can come around in preseason that just might be a better backup for LT. maybe Jeremy Vujnwich can make a step up. (although i do not see it) or maybe two undrafted OG;s can make the move to LT if they project to be as good as the team feels either Phipps or Rotherman , again they are only rookie hopefuls, they may not even make the team. don't they play Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh this Sat? I do not have a schedule but something makes me feel Sat? I am incorrect, they play SUnday.

I think the pecking order in the offensive line is still in question, when it comes to back ups. It's going to be interesting seeing how it plays out before the season starts.
Our first five is pretty darned good, but what kind of a let down happens if they make one change, and it requires two or three guys to change position? It's going to be a wait and see thing until we hit September 13th.
