This guy has great hands. If he continues to play the way he has, he's a shoe in to make the team, and is going to end up pushing for the #3 spot in the pecking order, before the season is over. He has a quiet confidence, and those hands.... reminds me of Fred Biletnikoff, from decades ago.
I like the idea of Montgomery & Adams being #3 & #4. Two really darned good receivers.
The #5 spot is going to be an interesting dog fight. We might end up with 6 WRs on the team, and only two TEs, but the battle at TE may make that unacceptable.
This is the most challenging season I've seen to see who fills these roles.

Montgomery is a big version of Cobb. he is being looked at very hard as the number one kick returner and number one ST's on kicks. It looks like Abbs may be the one on the short line. He has been concussed and that has him way to far behind. I see it Nelson, Cobb, Adams, Montgomery, and then preseason will tell if it is White or Janis. Janis is just not getting it. Whwn he runs it flat out he is as good as a TD. or big yards, but he just is having trouble on his effort to fight for the ball and his routes. to bad, this guy has it all, size speed and great hands. TE is going to be whoever lasts the preseason without injury. I can see R Rodgers being #1, or Quarless. after that is slim pickens.

If Abbs is close to Janis or White in potential, he may ger the nod, but I don't think it will happen. I think the Packers will try to stash him on the practice squad to give him a chance to develop. If he's snatched away, that's all the better for him, but it's about the best chance Abbs has at this point because of injuries.
Janis or White will get the nod. No injury to Abbs, would have been a real fight.
