Capsule report on Packers

I think this pretty much covers the changes in the Packers. I see some high notes to it. I just don't know that Jake Ryan is the needed linebacker. I agree on Hayward, and the potential of the team.

I too question the defense under Capers. Not positive it's all that it's supposed to be. The early losses of three key players due to suspension.... more than annoying. I'd look for replacements if they're out there to be honest.

If Ha Ha plays the way he's capable... we could show major defensive improvement.

Special teams will be better. Ron Zook will be a good ST coach. It has to get better. We've had garbage since McCarthy took over. He should have cleaned up that mess years ago, instead of letting it go like he has. A good HC would have done that. The ST situation with the lack of a good Capers defense doesn't speak highly for McC's ability to evaluate his coaches.

I'm glad to see McC is giving up the play calling. It might take a game or two, but expect a remarkable change in the way a game is managed. It's going to be interesting seeing how it plays out.

MM is still writing the script, only difference is he has a person instead of himself calling each play in. That gives him time to watch and talk to the other two parts of the game with the coaches while the offensive plays are being called in. BUT, he will still have the head set hearing the calls and he can make a change if Rodgers and the speaker does not connect or agree. And if MM dislikes the play at the moment, he will make a change.
We made a big change on ST's by letting them all go . Bush(gunner,gone) now replaced by S. Richardson, and then they replaced almost every starter in the ST.s unit, both kickoff and return. same for the punt almost just Masthay and Goode are the hold overs with I think just three other players. otherwise all new. THey really like Elliot on the ST as well. Thin at cornerback, like I was thinking some time a go,, both the Rock and Rolls boys(Rollins&Randall) need to step up this year or they could be in trouble with the secondary. I like J Ryan, hope he pans out.
