I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not a bit enthused by the comments made by the Packers staff at this point in time. They say they are confident, but offer nothing concrete to base this opinion on. They're throwing out names of guys who haven't performed up to standards yet, as if they are the guys who will make good things happen. I'm a believer that you make good things happen, then you talk about how well they performed.
Over the last several years, the Packers have not supported the best player in the NFL the way they should. I've watched Aaron Rodgers do an amazing job, game after game, only to watch the coaching staff blow games that should be won. At this point, Rodgers should have three Super Bowl rings, not one. It's inconsistent with the talent of the team, and the coaching.
As for our defense, I'm at the point where I no longer have any faith in Capers. If they have a good game, it's strictly by accident. It's definitely not there, when the chips are down.
No doubt the Packers will win up to 12 games during the regular season, but that's acceptable to the front office, and shouldn't be. Nothing short of another Lombardi trophy should be accepted.
