Anyone who believes making it to the playoffs is a guarantee you'll keep your job should take a look at this situation.
You not only have to get there, you have to win when you get there.
I've been saying this for years about coaches. You got the horses, you gotta win, or someone else is going to be the head coach.

I'm not surprised. They looked terrible yesterday! Manning looked old too. I wonder if he'll be back?

Manning has played poorly for two seasons, just his stats are pretty good yet, but his team is darn good around him. He really did look bad this last game. like they say sometimes your body just gives out all of a sudden. boom, your a shell of what you were. Now he is injured and if he heals well this spring, he could want to still play and they might take him back(he does have 2 years remaining on contract I think) Plus Elway really likes him. So who knows what the New Head Coach and how many players they can resign, all makes a difference in what will happen. ME, I would ask him to retire...but then who do they have to replace him that can play well right away? oh well, see you next year!
Almost forgot,, Fox is leaning rather hard to go to the Bears. should know in a week.

Fox would be an interesting fit in Chicago. I think he'd bring a winner, but enough of a winner to best the Packers. Kind of like a 2nd tier winner, who doesn't mind finishing 2nd.
I like that, in the NFCN, against the Packers.
